The wildfires that tore through California last January stole not just Altadena residents' sense of safety in their homes, but the homes themselves. Some mementos were salvageable, and will be showcased at our Museum of Unnatural Disasters in downtown DC starting next week. ⬇️

This Spring, CAC student leaders attended the HBCU climate conference, “Legacy Rising: Charting our Future at the Crossroads of Climate and Justice,” where we heard from students about the importance of protecting our climate and what #EnvironmentalJustice means to them.

Data centers are expanding dramatically, and driving up energy costs for American families along with them. @levin.house.gov is here to protect consumers from increased costs associated with data center growth through the Energy Bills Relief Act.

Earlier this month, CAC visited LA and hosted a tour with community members and local leaders to discuss the impacts of the January 2025 wildfires. One year later, residents are still facing devastating impacts and struggling to rebuild. Without climate action, these disasters will get worse.

One year after some of the deadliest and most destructive wildfires in state history tore through Los Angeles, families are still reeling, businesses are still recovering, and communities are still rebuilding—yet the Trump admin continues to withhold critical disaster relief and deny climate change.

In 2025, extreme weather events impacted communities all over the country. These storms, fires, and floods are all being intensified by climate change. It’s time to act now.

Climate change won’t stop unless we act. It’s up to you to choose to fight for our climate.
