As a 3rd generation union member it was an honor & privilege to stand in solidarity with Michigan @teamsters.bsky.social nurses on strike for the good wages, fair treatment, and safe staffing ratios they deserve. One day longer, one day stronger — to the nurses of Local 332 we are with you!

In MI, not only are we ranked 44th in reading, we're ranked 44th in starting teacher pay. We need to pay educators like the professionals they are. And we need to ensure that every kid has access to a great public education that allows them to follow their dreams and succeed.

Making health care affordable is personal to me: without insurance, my breast cancer surgery would have cost $100K. That's outrageous. Tom Barrett's votes have raised insurance costs for everyone. We need to fix our broken health care system. That starts w/ flipping MI07.

We've knocked thousands of doors already this year, and what we keep hearing is that folks just want a representative who will do what is right for our community, no matter what. This shouldn't even be a political issue. But Tom Barrett keeps voting against MI07's interests.

I'm running for Congress to hold Trump and his administration accountable for the damage they are doing at home and abroad. We need leaders who have a proven track record of doing this. I've stood up to Trump before, and I'll do it again on behalf of our community in MI07.

With the State of the Union tonight, it's clear: Trump's policies are hurting working families right here in mid-Michigan. Tonight he's going tell us this isn't true. And DC Republicans like Tom Barrett will stand and applaud. We deserve better.
