NatWest has backtracked on its oil and gas policy, opening the door to financing more fossil fuel expansion. No responsible bank should be backtracking in this way, because we have such a short window to avoid the worst possible outcomes of the climate crisis.

We want Ed Milliband to go to Santa Marta (no, not on holiday!).The First Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels, is taking place from 24 to 29 April 2026, in Santa Marta, Colombia. We are urging him to attend and to commit to the UK playing its part in a fair and funded transition.

This 86 year old priest, along with librarians, writers, medics, scientists, politicians and hundreds of other ordinary people, was today arrested as a terrorist for sitting peacefully and holding a placard. We are grateful for their courage, and we hold continue to hold them in our prayers.

CCA greeted new Archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Mullally, on her pilgrimage to her installation. Beautiful that our Rev Sue Parfitt, one of the first women to be ordained priest in the CofE asked the first woman Archbishop of Canterbury for a blessing for CCA’s work, and gave her a blessing in turn.
