A fun touch on the machine of Whirlwind is the fan that turns on and off depending on what's happening I was playing one-handed for a few seconds to film this but it thankfully worked out lol

I think the Robotron 2084 visual style is so pretty It's maybe a bit busy for some but I think seeing those bold candy colors shimmer over the pure black background is captivating Also I love how after the Brains alter the humans into rainbow-trailed enemies, they're called 'Progs'

This is called Kineko, a puzzle game only released on the Famicom Disk System Essentially it's a jigsaw puzzle where each piece visually loops as part of one big endlessly looping moving image I find that concept profound in a weird way Like it's a representation of people's multifaceted minds

That evasive flow state feels so good These bullet hell vertical shooters are pretty much digital bubble wrap for me I'm not great at them but I really like how, though there's not really puzzles or any problem solving, they reward a certain amount of cunning in how you lead shots and move up/down
