Sharing some thoughts on setting boundaries for tolerance of @$$holes in the social media environment. Your mileage may vary. It’s a first-take-done to test the Captions app’s AI subtitling & graphics gen tool. Worked fine/fast, but I feel authenticity lost may be greater than efficiency gained.

I anticipate we’re willing to put our lives on the line — & the same side that line — for similar reasons… Lili is our granddaughter.

Whether you are leading a business or planning the resistance, you need to run good meetings. Here’s how: Have a purpose, start on time, achieve the purpose, end on time. (Or early. Early is fine. Advisable even.) For a bit more insight, hit Play. (Thanks for the reminder, @to8lerone.bsky.social.)

Not all US military members are good. War is bad. This is not an endorsement of US foreign policy or the war in Iraq. It is a specific example of the standards to which the US mil is trained & ICE is clearly not. It is a caution. Link arms, lift up, lean on, support, carry, & shield each other.

What your watching unfold here is learning through raw teaching. I’m working w/ some creative folks to build out an online presence to develop leaders that is more robust than my current ad hoc effort. Take advantage of the tips & don’t hesitate to offer your own — I’m wide open to critique!

Despite having come up in stage theater and being entirely comfortable performing as either a cast member or keynote, recording myself feels unnatural. So I’m following the advice I give to others & pushing beyond the perfection trap to just get on with it. Let’s link arms & lead together…

Be willing to engage in civil discourse to strengthen links with those around you. We the People will get through this by uniting in shared values and lifting each other up.

Hell, the President swears a similar Oath. Here’s what I had to say about that on Constitution Day. (Would share a cell with Sen. Kelly in a heartbeat.)

Correct. Enlistment is a contract. Commission is an appointment by Congress “at the pleasure of the President” (Alas…) Under the law, officers serve to provide “best military advice” to the President & Congress. Here is the Oath of Commission I reaffirmed as a retiree on Nat’l Constitution Day.

I'm a fan of the Roadhouse Rule: Be nice, until it's time to not be nice.
