California’s 4.2 million small businesses are the backbone of our economy. They represent 99.9% of all businesses in our state, employ 7 million Californians, and help keep our communities vibrant and thriving.

What I love about California is that every county has its own story. Thanks to Mariposa County Supervisor Miles Menetrey, I learned why Mariposa is known as the “Mother of Counties.” One of California’s original 27 counties, it later gave rise to all or parts of 12 counties.

✨ There are angels among us. What began 17 years ago with Ken Craft serving 23 homeless guests from a small church has grown into Hope the Mission now serving 9K hot meals a day, providing housing, job training, and hope to thousands. Proof that compassion, faith, and action can change lives. ❤️

Amazed at how Jeff & Christine Diskin transformed their home to honor Jeff’s father’s mining history while giving back thru flowers shared with the community. They never charge nonprofits or families to use their space for meaningful events — a true example of generosity and community spirit. 🌺🙏 🌸⛏️💚

During National Nurses Week, I’m especially grateful for the nurses who cared for my father after his fall last August. As he moved between 3 hospitals and could not speak or eat on his own, nurses became our lifeline with their compassion, patience, and care. 💙 Thank you, nurses. 🙏
