Proverbs tells us to “speak up for those who can not speak for themselves.” Washington has forgotten those values. Today's leaders care more about scoring political points than caring for our neighbors. I’m running for the US Senate to restore a functional government and to bring people together.

We can send astronauts to the dark side of the moon, but we can’t fix our country’s health care. I met a woman in central Kansas whose health insurance is over $2,000 a month. That's unaffordable. Decisions in Washington are hurting Kansans. Our government should stand up for what’s right.

How do we close the gap between the world as it is and the world as it should be? Kindness and compassion alone won't turn around what ails us. But I'm a man of faith, and sometimes that means believing in something others find unbelievable, and inspiring others to do the same.
