🌱 Scottish Water has restored 338 hectares of peatland around Backwater Reservoir, in Angus, Scotland. 🌱Reviving precious peatlands improves water quality, boosts diversity, and locks away carbon for a healthier planet 🌍 🌱Less energy is needed to filter out organic matter in drink water sources💧

This was fun to make for Scottish Water, using drones to disperse tree seeds across areas of difficult terrain around Talla Reservoir, Scottish Borders. The area is fenced off to protect seeds from grazing sheep and deer. Woodlands stabilise land & less organic matter entering the water source.
