The Portland Police Union is pushing a ballot initiative that would steal 25% of the funds for the Portland Clean Energy Fund and use it to hire more cops. They are paying signature gatherers to lie about what this ballot measure would do by telling Portlanders that it will “reduce 911 call times”.

I have been able to be my most authentic self here and I want that for everyone. Growing up I never really fit the “straight guy mold”. As I’ve gotten older I’ve been able to embrace being queer, and in Portland, I’m even able to celebrate it!

I officially filed to be on the ballot today! My friend Hal asked how I felt afterwards and I said “Honestly, I’m anxious”. It’s so difficult to even exist right now, but I have found solace living in Portland. I have been able to be my most authentic self here and I want that for everyone. 🏳️‍⚧️♥️🏳️‍🌈
