I've been utterly drowning in Ace Combat 8 news these last few days, so all I need from Games Fest is some good news about Virtua Fighter and Dead or Alive and I'll be a very happy fellow indeed.

I adore how one of the most universal experiences in gaming right now seems to be: "I picked up Ace Combat 7 'cause it was on sale, never tried these games before and I'm not that much of a plane person but people say they're good so we'll see." 5 hours later:

Slowly going through @kimjustice.bsky.social's latest AJW video and this feels like a Hold straight out of Dead or Alive. Between that and Tina having a Japanese Ocean Suplex since DOA1, it's not hard to imagine what a good chunk of Team Ninja's staff was doing in 1995.

Most of my matches are trash because I'm an Eternal Scrub, but I will allow myself to feel proud of this one. I know that would've gotten a pop. I know it.
