Cadarn died in the streets of Teithia. not in battle, but he was struck mid movement with fast and precise magic. No one agreed on what they saw. The Mages of the White Robes responded before the truth settled. And for the first time, the top was no longer untouchable.

On Anturia, criminals from minor to major, even of social crimes, are often exiled to the desert and expected to die.

At the border of Graywood, movement turned into conflict. Magic is used on both sides. Several dead. There was no warning. And there was no restraint. The time for politics was over.

Mages of the White Robes began detaining citizens in Teithia. The detained weren’t mages. They weren’t apprentices. They weren’t even suspects—just everyday people. Magic enforced compliance right out in the open.

Kylah Marie received Intel that the attack was coming. She sent the warning, but it was too late. The strike of a white mage robe against a black mage robe landed anyway. This time, it didn’t have to happen.

Without attempting to hide, Athro Dubar arrived in Graywood. Kerrinne met him at the harbor. There was no announcement or explanation. His students were everywhere. It was easy to see that this had been long in the planning.

Kerrinne didn't speak, but everyone understood what she was saying when she appeared in black robes with red and gold trim. All the others in the Black Robe Order followed with the Apprentices in plain black. She let them know exactly who they were dealing with.

Kerrinne and the mages of the black robes didn’t respond with words or even with retaliation. Instead, there was a mass influx of ships to Graywood. Not from trade, but from pure movement of people coming into the small port city. Forces amassing.

Kylah Marie had to go. The reports about her were too destabilizing, Whether they were true or not was. irrelevant. When the Velg’lan say it’s time for you to go, it’s time for you to go.

A ship entered Grauwood’s harbor without warning. Suddenly, it ignited; set on fire from a distance. The mages of the Black Robes order were already watching. Water rose before the flames could take hold. The port survived. But that wasn’t the point…

In those three attacks, four died. One of them was a child. The white robes claimed it was because of infiltration. However, they offered no proof of this claim.

The attacks were definitely coordinated. Kylah Marie had three different sources confirming. They were calculated and cold.

Starting out writing Season 3 in Rosewood Retreat last night. My first drafts - aka brain dumps - are very messy and imperfect. But then, so is Anturia.

Thantos didn't want to choose between black or white-robed mages. It simply closed its gates and isolated itself when the war started. A seige without one.

The city that was to be their safe haven required them to be disarmed to enter. Apparently, the gate guards of Che’el de Velg’lan seldom find someone unarmed…

The reports can’t even agree on who diedd in the attack in Market Square. Alltud intel Says it was a citizen. Velg’lan intel Says it was a white robe mage that wasn’t loyal enough or certain enough. The truth split apart before it settled.

Knowing she might not walk out alive, she goes anyway. If she doesn’t speak up for what’s right, who will?
