Yesterday I made an unannounced visit to an ICE detention center in California City to conduct oversight with three of my Democratic congressional colleagues. Civilians are being held in prison-like conditions with inadequate access to mental health care and asylum judges.

When I questioned Energy Sec. Wright he ADMITTED Trump knew his reckless war on Iran would raise gas prices for working families. It was great to join the grand opening of Xona Space Systems’ new facility in Burlingame and learn more about their innovative work to improve GPS systems here in the district. This opening marks an exciting step forward in advancing next-generation satellite technology at home.

During today's @energycommerce.bsky.social subcommittee meeting, I called out the Trump Administration’s targeting of only blue states for fraud investigations - it reeks of political motivation and could have dire consequences for the seniors and people who rely on Medicaid.

Trump’s attempt to nationalize elections is a desperate power grab because his policies are widely unpopular. I will continue pushing back against any effort to override the Constitution, silence voters, and undermine the free and fair elections that sustain our democracy.
