At the #UNSC briefing on Ukraine, Latvia underscored: ⚫️ Predictably, yet regrettably, the Russian leadership has escalated its barbaric brutality. ⚫️ Since FEB 2022, Russia has launched a staggering number of aerial attacks against Ukraine: at least ❗️94,344 ❗️long-range strike drones and missiles.

Today, the 🇺🇳 Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution updating sanctions measures on Libya. 🇱🇾 Latvia supported the adoption, as these measures help: 🔹safeguard the country’s assets, 🔹advance stability, 🔹and reinforce a Libyan-led political process.

Latvia’s support to Ukraine 🇺🇦 remains unwavering. Today at the #UNSC meeting on Ukraine we underlined: ✅️ For over a year, Ukraine has demonstrated its readiness for a ceasefire and engaged constructively in talks. There are no meaningful signals from Russia.
