Yesterday was International Flight Attendants’ Day, and the @ndp.ca knows that respecting flight attendants means upholding their right to strike. Last summer the Liberal government violated flight attendants’ Charter-protected right in just 12 hours.

Resource Assistance for Youth (RaY) does life-saving work. Level Up! works with youth who have fallen through the cracks to provide them with life-saving support and skill development to help them join the workforce.

Even on a dreary week in March, Winnipeg Centre is still packed with action! I was so happy to connect with constituents in Weston, sharing coffee with parents at Weston School and visiting Blake Gardens Resource Centre during their community lunch.

Through the Liberals’ repeated use of Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code, they are violating the Charter-protected right to strike and attacking workers’ ability to fight for a liveable wage.

I was proud to recently table a petition to adopt a National Food Assistance Program, something increasingly vital, especially for low income people, people with disabilities, seniors and adults without children.

Workers’ right to strike is protected by the Charter, but the Liberals have repeatedly violated that right and undermined workers’ livelihoods using Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code.

We must uphold the safety of Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people. The Liberals must commit to binding corporate accountability frameworks and community safety plans to ensure the safety of indigenous women and girls around resource extraction projects.

The North End Woman’s Centre is right at ground zero of the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two Spirit People, and is essential for addressing this crisis. I urge the government to provide the funding it needs to uphold community health and safety in Winnipeg Centre.

The Conservatives are now desperately trying to outdo the Liberals’ anti-migrant policies by denying essential healthcare to migrants and refugees. Thank you to my NDP colleague @jennykwan.bsky.social for speaking the truth: this is nothing but preying on the most vulnerable for political gain.
