Today at PROC MPs catch at the very last minute what would have been quite the embarrassing oversight in Bill C-25. Prior to today's amendment Official Agents were been tied to candidates for eternity (rather than per election cycle)

I can't get over how nuts it is that the MPs reviewing bill C-25, a bill to stop long ballots and election misinformation, are themselves convinced by a (terribly) edited photo from a Youtuber that they need to ban blank nomination forms WE NEED A BETTER SYSTEM OF DECIDING ELECTION RULES LOL

Today Cooper tripled down on his "blank form" conspiracy, demanding a special amendment...all LBC signature nomination forms have always had the names of candidates printed on them before hand so 🤷 Got to say impressive (and kind of nuts) how much one Youtuber's fabricated photo can bamboozle MPs

MP Cooper once again doubling down on the completely fabricated "blank nomination form" conspiracy he saw in a Youtube video. Bill C-25 is intended to stop long ballots, and also to curtail election misinformation, yet here we are watching misinformation inform the very creation of that bill🙃

From March 12th 2026, Senator Prosper speaking on the C-4 changes to the elections act and correctly identifying that MPs are in a conflict of interest when it comes to deciding their own election rules... to the inevitable detriment of Canadian voters.

Bill 14: The first ever anti-long ballot legislation, courtesy of Danielle Smith's (rather embattled) UCP. If passed, Alberta voters would be prohibited from nominating more than 1 candidate each, and candidates will need to collect 100 nomination signatures (up from the current 25).
