❌We may not have the power to stop the UK’s active participation in Israel’s genocide, but we can control where our public money goes - and that should never be put into the pockets of companies who are profiting from some of the most horrific war crimes of our generation.

Living Wage Champion: made government grants conditional on paying the living wage, increasing the pay of thousands of workers.

Circular Economy Champion: recycling improvement fund, ban on incinerators and some single use plastics, and the Circular Economy Bill.

The next 5 years are critical for climate and nature. I hope to be re-selected to continue to push the Scottish Government into practical action. We need to get them to do the hard stuff.

🍽️The @scottishgreens.org' successfully pushed to expand free school meals to High School students, now S1–S3 pupils will receive them in 8 trial areas. Next the Scottish Government should include S4–S6 pupils and deliver the trial Scotland-wide. Eating well means learning well. 📗

It is long past time polluters paid for the damage they do to the earth. Short term solutions still mean long term pain. Scottish households are paying for the benefits afforded to oil and gas multinationals. When will our Governments wake up and take the action required to tackle climate change?
