As @nickhartleygreen.bsky.social says, we knew it was important to be grown ups and put people before party politics. The stability and cooperation agreement we've signed with the Liberal Democrats will ensure that we have good governance and get things done over this next year.

🌱💪 When Rachel Reeves came to South Jesmond, she told people voting Green risked “getting a Reform councillor in here.” The result? Reform weren’t even close. But the Greens won. 🚀

Dr Sarah Peters, our South Jesmond by-election candidate, was joined outside Durham County Hall by Green Party members from across the NE, to protest Reform's dangerous and ignorant attempt to sow division by trying to pretend action on the Climate Crisis hurts people who need Social Care.

It was super exciting to tell Deputy leader @zackpolanski.bsky.social about the campaign to get Dr. Sarah Peters elected in South Jesmond. We know that the most important place politics happens is in our communities, listening to residents and advocating for them in the council chamber and beyond.
