🟥 Georgia’s Independence Day is being marked by a mass protest in #Tbilisi organised by an Opposition Alliance of 9 parties. Protesters marched to Parliament, where daily #GeorgiaProtests have continued since 28 Nov 2024, when GD announced #Georgia would halt its #EU accession agenda.

🟥An oligarch, Bidzina Ivanishvili - the honorary chairman of the GD party, former PM of #Georgia, and widely regarded as the country’s informal ruler - hosted President of #Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. The meeting also included govt delegations. The party published a video of the meeting.
