Every time a new story comes out that only focuses on the four dudes, I’ll call it out. Let Time know this is not ok.

My hottest take? We can feed, house, educate, and care for people. A government that can fund wars can fund people.

People-powered campaigns only work when people power them. If you can, chip in today and help us keep the momentum going: vist.ly/56hkd

Hey, NY-12! Your ballot is your voice. Vote for Nina! Early voting starts June 13th. Election Day is June 23rd.

We made it to the @nytimes.com! Finally featured alongside the boys in the NY-12 race. Exciting to see our people-powered campaign getting the attention it deserves.

Moms.gov is being sold as support for mothers. What it actually does: collect personal data and direct people to anti-abortion resources. Pregnant people deserve facts, privacy, and real healthcare—not political agendas disguised as resources.

2 2

I asked New Yorkers when they last talked to their neighbors. Community starts next door. Talk to your neighbors. That’s what makes New York, New York.

This campaign is powered by an incredible team I couldn’t do any of this without. I’m grateful for every person helping us behind the scenes every day to make it happen. Meet the team getting us to Congress.

RFK Jr. and Trump downplaying hantavirus and pretending the CDC handled everything perfectly should terrify all of us. We deserve leaders who take outbreaks seriously before they become full-blown crises.

Two lives lost on the Queensboro Bridge in a preventable tragedy. Our streets have not kept up with the rise of motorized e-vehicles. We need federal regulation and safer sidewalks and streets before more people die. Read my policy on e-bikes at the link in bio.

10 million people coming into the U.S. for FIFA while the CDC is barely functioning. A disaster waiting to happen — and one engineered by the Trump administration.

6 4

Only 32% of NYC subway stations are wheelchair accessible. A city only works when everyone can move through it. I’m running for Congress to fully fund public transit and make accessibility non-negotiable.

7 2

Come volunteer to save democracy, stay for the karaoke. More fun volunteering opportunities at the link in bio!

3 2

What worries me about the Ebola outbreak: the CDC is asking for volunteers to staff outbreaks, while Americans who suspect Ebola exposure aren’t being allowed home. That’s not preparedness. That’s a warning sign.

Another day, another article about the “top four” candidates in this race. Interesting how the only woman polling right behind them somehow keeps getting edited out. If you’re tired of politics being treated like a private boys’ club, help us prove them wrong.

Join us for Turnout Tuesday — this time with karaoke. 🎤✨ Because building a campaign should feel like building community. 📅 Tuesday, 5/26 🕠 5:30–7:30pm 📍 Baby Grand Flatiron, 29 W. 17th St. Bring a friend, meet the team, sing badly for democracy.

Things nobody tells you before running for Congress: there are official rules, and then there are some unexpected ones. Here are a few I’ve learned so far.

I’m running for office because women deserve to exist loudly, freely, and safely — online, offline, everywhere. If you believe in progressive change, donate today to help us get my message in front of every voter.

My Day One policy for Congress: The American Health Security Act, which does three things: 1. Lower prescription drug costs 2. Guarantee family doctor access 3. Protect and expand Medicare, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act

Early voting begins June 13, and we’re heading into the final stretch. If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to have you join us — whether that’s canvassing, making calls, or hosting a small gathering with friends. Sign-up here: mobilize.us/ninaforny12/

This is why I’m running for Congress: to protect the right to vote, defend reproductive rights, and fight for a future where we move forward, not backward. If you believe in progressive change, donate today to help us get my message in front of every voter: vist.ly/557sy

Mr. Bezos says taxing billionaires won’t help pay teachers. I’m happy to test that theory. My plan: 1. A 2–3% annual wealth tax on fortunes over $50 million 2. Reform capital gains taxes 3. Strengthen estate taxes

A possible third country is now being affected by Ebola, and people are finding out on social media before hearing anything from our own CDC. That should concern everyone.

2 1

Healthcare should be simple: affordable prescriptions, guaranteed reproductive care, accessible mental healthcare, paid family leave, and coverage that isn’t tied to your employer.

0 0

Preventing HIV should not come with shame or barriers. People deserve access to PrEP, PEP, routine testing, and the medication that works best for their bodies — without stigma and without politicians treating healthcare like a culture war.

3 0

I want legislation on day one that protects LGBTQ+ people’s access to healthcare — including PrEP coverage across all insurance plans and aid for the uninsured.

0 0

What I most ❤️ about NYC. I’m running to make it more affordable so we can all do more of the things we love.

Funny how polls get used to decide who belongs in debates, who gets media coverage, and who can raise money, while some of us don’t even get included in the polls.

The Ebola outbreak in DRC and Uganda is a global health emergency of internacional concern, the highest level of alert, according to @who.int. The US can and must step up.

2 1

This is serious. There is no vaccine. We need to contain the spread and help Uganda and DRC do that. And the CDC needs to do its job at informing Americans about this deadly outbreak.

3 1

HIV prevention should not come with barriers, stigma, or political games. Access to PrEP saves lives.

Had the pleasure of talking to Frank DiLella about Broadway and the challenges of the Theater District. Catch the full interview on his page!

This guy is on one of the biggest podcasts in the country spreading complete misinformation about the measles vaccine. And people will listen to it like it’s fact. We are watching public trust in science get destroyed in real time.

This is not a drill. V (formerly Eve Ensler), Tony Award-winning playwright, author, and activist endorsed Nina Schwalbe for NY12. Here’s why.

RFK Jr is dismantling the systems that keep us safe and healthy while wasting federal funding trying to “prove” a link between vaccines and chronic diseases that decades of evidence already disproved. It’s time for RFK Jr. to go.

As a New Yorker, I know what we owe each other. And as a candidate for Congress, I know where the power to act lies. Every preventable maternal death is a failure of governance. It is time we govern accordingly. Read my Substack piece here: vist.ly/53qdi

It is not acceptable to erase women running in NY-12. I’m the only woman polling in this race and currently ranking 5th, yet coverage keeps centering just the men. Voters deserve better.

My favorite dessert is mint chocolate chip ice cream and no billionaire is getting a tax loophole on my watch 🧐

Hantavirus is not “the next COVID.” Human-to-human transmission is difficult. But if a more dangerous virus emerged tomorrow, we’d be in serious trouble: the CDC has been hollowed out, we’ve withdrawn from the WHO, and we are no better prepared for the next pandemic when, not if, it happens.

5 1

Honestly, I’m a bit tired fed up with traditional media like @nymag.com erasing me. I’ve been consistently polling at number 5 in NY-12, and I’m literally running against celebs, legacy dems, and billionaire checkbooks.

8 1

I ❤️ NYC

2 0

For everyone new here: Hi, I’m running for Congress in NY-12. I’m the progressive candidate you were looking for in this race. Join our movement, we’re just getting started.

3 0

Zero information about the hantavirus on the CDC website. When public health goes silent, people fill in the gaps. That’s how panic starts.

Congressman Jim Himes @jahimes.bsky.social (D-CT) shares his opinion on how a first year congressperson can make a difference.

A day in the life of the Nina For NYC congressional campaign 😉

2 0

In top 5 candidates for NY12, yet still fighting for my right to be acknowledged by mainstream media.

2 0

There is a woman in the top five candidates for NY12. But she was erased from @nymag.com cover. How do I know that? Because it’s me. What’s up with that @nymag.com?

2 0

The Supreme Court just restored access to abortion pills by mail. That shouldn’t have been up for debate in the first place.

3 1

Outraged by the latest @nymag.com cover that has basically erased women and LGBTQ+ candidates like me? Share this. We can’t change things in this country if we keep allowing this.

Nina Schwalbe, running for Congress in NY-12, and Congressman Jim Himes @jahimes.bsky.social (D-CT) respond to controversial issues. Do you agree? Ep. 3

1 0

This decision would limit women’s access to healthcare—and with it, their ability to choose. The Supreme Court should be clear: our bodies are our own, and we have the right to decide what happens to them.

3 0

The President cannot withdraw from international treaties without the approval of Congress. Congress, stand up.

1 0

I’ve dedicated my life to serving my community so our future isn’t left up to chance. That’s why I’m running for Congress.

1 0

This guy cut programs because they referenced LGBTQ+ people. That’s the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. We have a right to live in this country and have rights, just as anybody else.

3 0

Democrats just caved, again. No reforms, no cameras, no answers. If this is what winning looks like, I’d like to see what losing looks like.

Today’s Supreme Court decision gives state legislatures a roadmap to dilute minority voting power. The only way forward? Show up in every election and every level. We need serious people who are taking politics seriously.

I met @janefonda.com last week and she loved my outfit! A great reminder that comments online are not real life.

This guy and his DOGE colleagues got rid of a life-saving program. An estimated 750,000 people have died because of their actions. And he can’t even tell us what DEI stands for. It’s three letters. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Spend the morning with me giving a keynote speech at Columbia University Research Conference.

2 0

Did you know? That’s why I’m running for Congress in NY-12—to change that.

So grateful to have participated in the Covering Trauma: Respecting Survivors Conference put on by @nypressclub.bsky.social and @nationalnow.bsky.social. We need stronger voices in Congress to end trafficking of women and identify victims who are falsely incarcerated.

How to stop measles? Impeach RFK Jr.

5 1

This community knows what happens when people are denied care. The lessons from the AIDS crisis aren’t history—they still shape how people think about healthcare today. I’m running to make sure access to care isn’t a privilege, but a guarantee.

3 0

Community. People. NY12. That's what keeps me going and motivates me to do better every single day. Thank you to each and every one of you who has shown me support.

2 0

Another promise broken. Enough is enough. Impeach Trump. Impeach RFK Jr.

2 0

Just a few things I love about my district. Thank you NY12 for being you.

3 0

Thrilled to announce that Congressman Jim Himes @jahimes.bsky.social (D-CT), Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, has endorsed my campaign for Congress in NY-12.

2 0

I haven’t been allowed in the room to speak with Schlossberg, Conway, Lasher, Bores—even though I’m also running for Congress in NY12. But I won’t stop speaking about what I believe in, like standing against Trump’s senseless wars.

I just published a scientific article in PLOS Digital Health that explains if we don’t regulate AI in medicine, it’s just going to further drive inequality. Read it here: vist.ly/4zai9
