Congratulations to the Nordonia Knights Girls Flag Football Team for making history as the winner of the inaugural Girls Flag Football State Championship! This team has certainly proven why #OH13 is known as the Birthplace of Champions.

As a proud member of the Equality Caucus (@equality.house.gov), I'm working every day in Congress to defend the LGBTQI+ community’s rights. Happy #PrideMonth! 🏳️‍🌈

As your representative in Congress, it’s important to me to hear directly from you about what matters most. Thanks to the JRC Adult Day Center for welcoming me to talk to seniors in their program.

I’m traveling all across #OH13 to celebrate the 15 projects that are being funded as part of the 2026 federal budget. More than $12 million of your tax dollars are coming back to Northeast Ohio to improve our communities.

This Memorial Day, may we honor the service members who have lost their lives in the war in Iran, and may we hold their grieving families in our hearts.

I’m proud my amendment to expand research into human trafficking passed the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee today. We can only solve this problem when we truly know what we are up against.

In the more than three years since the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine, I have not stopped fighting for rail safety.

5 3

Today, we are finally seeing rail safety legislation considered in Congress! This is a big first step, but it's just that - a first step. There is still more that Congress must do to ensure another disaster like what we saw in East Palestine never happens again.

Thank you to the Akron Roundtable for 50 years of bringing the world to Akron. Since 1976, the Roundtable has welcomed leading voices to the heartland, fostering community and thoughtful conversation that helps make Northeast Ohio the Birthplace of Champions. Congratulations on this milestone!

Thank you to IBEW Local 306 for inviting me to their training facility last week, so I could see first-hand all of the amazing skills these tradesmen and women are learning right here in #OH13.

I am proud to have partnered with Akron Children’s Hospital and the Ohio State Highway Patrol to make sure that students right here in Akron have access to the bike helmets that keep them safe. Learn more about the importance of wearing a helmet at ohioaap.org/PutALidOnIt.

Ohio has laws to protect our kids from pesticides that cause cancer, but the Farm Bill threatens to strip the progress we’ve made.

I am excited to announce that my team and I have brought back $16 million to constituents in Ohio’s 13th Congressional District. This is money going directly back into your pocket. If you’re having problems with government payments, please reach out to us at sykes.house.gov.

This tax season, Americans are seeing that their returns aren’t going as far as they had hoped. Groceries, healthcare, gas, and daily needs are all more expensive. That’s why I'm leading the Lower Your Taxes Act and No Tax on Overtime for All Workers Act to put more money in your pockets.

Artemis II wouldn’t have had the success it did without the groundbreaking work at NASA Glenn Research Center. But now, President Trump wants to cut its funding, which would lead to Ohioans losing their jobs. I will not stand for that.

Congrats to the OH-13 Champion of the Week National Inventors Hall of Fame STEM Middle School Chess Team. The team, led by Coach Don Glocar, won first and third-place trophies from the Ohio State Chess Championship, along with several individual awards. OH-13 is truly the Birthplace of Champions!

People should not have to wonder whether federally elected officials prioritize making decisions for the country or their own wallets. That’s why I support a ban on stock trading for officials and their families while in office. Public service should never be about personal profit.

Following Black Maternal Health Week, I spoke on the House floor about the crisis facing Black women in Ohio and nationwide. These disparities are harming real families in OH-13. We must act, expand care, strengthen Medicaid, and invest in community solutions so every mother gets safe, quality care.

The Trump administration is making massive cuts to our science programs. America is a nation of ingenuity, invention, and progress. But when we lower our standards for academic and scientific research, we are only limiting our ability to succeed.

The Lower Your Taxes Act is about putting more money back where it belongs — in your pocket. By easing the burden on hardworking families and small businesses, we can grow our economy, create opportunity, and help everyone get ahead.

The time to act is now. The cost of living is way too high, but instead of pushing policies to make life more affordable, Republicans have only made matters worse by stripping millions of Americans of their health care.

17 5

Black Maternal Health Week is a time to raise awareness, uplift voices, and take action. Black women are still facing disproportionately high risks during pregnancy and childbirth—and that must change. Every parent deserves safe, respectful, and quality care.

I’m focused on lowering costs for YOU. House Republicans only seem to be interested in lowering costs for their billionaire buddies.

23 3

Instead of trying to make life more affordable for Americans, Republicans have taken a wrecking ball to our health care system, forcing families to make hard choices between health care, groceries, gas, and rent.

Congress must act quickly to protect children online and pass the James T. Woods Act. This bill would make it a federal crime to coerce children online into harming themselves or others, with penalties of up to life in prison. It would also increase the maximum penalty for sextortion.

This is more than a launch—it’s a statement about who we are as a nation: bold, curious, and committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. The journey back to the Moon is just the beginning. 🚀🌕 #ArtemisII
