I continue to take every chance I can to press ministers to do more to hold the current Israeli government to account for human rights violations in Gaza. Today I demanded more than words in light of recent horrific behaviour by ministers, ongoing restrictions on aid and attacks on the West Bank.

Yesterday Government agreed to shorten timescale for ban on social media for under 16s - we now need to ensure its young people, public health experts and parents and carers who define how this works and not big tech companies who have failed to address addictive and harmful nature of social media.
