Too many young people in modern Britain are struggling to get a foot on the jobs ladder. The problem has been building for the past twenty years - we're determined to tackle it head on.

Young people learn vital skills from their first jobs. I certainly did from mine: a busy pub needs its pots washed fast. But over the past twenty years, Britain has been letting our young people down. We've got to turn things around, and we're taking action to do so 👇

For two decades Britain has let young people down, with terrible consequences for individuals, families and the country. Thats why we’re acting: - +300k work placements - £3k bonus for hiring unemployed young people - tackling the fall in youth apprenticeships under the Tories

Tony Blair is right about the politics of the 2020s, but his essay doesn't have a project that fits what the country needs today. Britain's economy is being held back by collapsing public services. From energy to health, we must become a country that invests in our future again.

Swansea’s Civic Centre will be revitalised with £20 million from the UK Government. This is fantastic news for our city and I’m delighted to have played a part.

Kemi isn’t fooling anyone. Households won’t forget how eager she was to charge into war.

We’ve got a lot more to do, but we’ll get there 🌥️

Last night made two things very clear. People love the Ospreys. And they hate a stitch up. Make your voice heard. Sign the petition now: www.change.org/p/oppose-the...

At a time when politics feels divisive, it's important to hold onto what really matters. 👉 Half a million kids out of poverty 👉 Ground rent capped at £250 👉 Sick pay for low earners 👉 Zero hour contracts banned Real answers. Real change.

There’s a long way to go to rebuild this country. But the job is underway and we’ll get there, one step at a time. Merry Christmas everyone.

I've just been in Sketty, meeting people at my last surgery of 2025. Don't worry if you didn't make it along this year, there are plenty more to come in 2026. Drop an email to torsten.bell.mp@parliament.uk to come along. Until then - Merry Christmas.

Labour's Budget is for every street in Britain. 👉 Cutting energy bills 👉 Lifting children out of poverty 👉 Rebuilding public services While our opponents hide behind cheap, divisive politics, we're getting on with the job: changing Britain.

After today, the child poverty charts I spent 15 years looking at rise under the Conservatives will be coming down. Not in a chart - in Swansea and every other part of the country. Life is more complicated now. But I'll take that any day.

The two-child cap pushed half of children in larger families into poverty. Today, Labour abolishes it. I stood for office to stop drawing charts and start changing them. This change will see the biggest drop in child poverty of any parliament on record. Know what that is? Hope.

What do you mean you want to get Britain building again? Fourteen years blocking houses and railways being built. Remember that?
