Concept: The founders drew inspiration from international farmers’ markets rather than conventional malls. They constructed the area out of upcycled shipping containers and wooden barns to give it a laid-back, “chill” atmosphere.

Origins and Creation (2013)The Site: The area is built on the grounds of the former Taipei Flora Expo. It is built on the historic land where the United States Military Assistance and Advisory Group (MAAG) headquarters was located during the 1950s.

It transformed a post-expo zone into an internationally inspired hub for independent businesses, casual street food, live music, and diverse cultural events.
