I was appalled to learn that Scott Pelley was fired. When I appeared on 60 Minutes to raise awareness about our genetic drug price fixing case, I relied on journalists committed to informing the public. At a time of increasing media consolidation, we need more independent journalism, not less.

I’m leading a coalition of AGs urging the Federal Judicial Center to restore climate science guidance that was removed from an important judicial reference manual. Ignoring science does not change reality. Courts rely on this manual when issuing important decisions.

We’ve launched an investigation into the popular online gaming platform Roblox. Roblox built an online pedophile playground. We’re going to uncover what the company knew about child exploitation on its platform, how they have profited, and what they have or haven’t done to protect our kids online.

We’re suing the Dept of Education over a new rule that could unlawfully limit access to federal student loans for those pursuing professional programs. The Trump/McMahon plan to drive down education costs by barring student loans defies Congress, the law, reality, and will do real damage.

FDA is opening the door tomorrow flavored e-cigarettes, despite evidence showing these products fuel youth addiction. Today, I joined Senator Blumenthal and advocates to demand that FDA reverse course. Public health should not take a backseat to profits.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, I want to make it very clear on behalf of the State of Connecticut: mental health parity is the law of the land. There are major health insurers in this state who are not compliant with the law. There needs to be accountability.

9 3

I'm leading a bipartisan coalition of attorneys general urging the FDA to reverse its draft guidance that would ease approvals for flavored e-cigarette products, which are known to worsen youth addiction. FDA needs to stand up to Big Tobacco and protect public health by abandoning this guidance.

Tong Tasting at one of my favorite restaurants. Stopped by McDonald's on Queen Street in Southington to celebrate the launch of their new refresher drinks and sodas! A portion of today's sales will support students at Southington High School. A great time for a great cause.

An international trade platform called Made in China has agreed to stop unlawful sales of bootleg GLP-1 weight loss drugs into the US following a CT investigation. There are no generic versions of these drugs on the market. Anyone offering this is exposing patients to potentially unsafe drugs.

8 3

I joined a multistate coalition in filing an amicus brief urging the US Supreme Court to block a lower court ruling that would ban telehealth prescriptions of Mifepristone. These restrictions place politics above patient safety and inject needless chaos into our healthcare system.

16 4

I stood alongside state and federal leaders as Governor Lamont signed into law Senate Bill 397. This law strengthens accountability for federal immigration enforcement and ensures people can seek justice when their rights are violated. No one is above the law, including federal officials.

As of today, Purdue and the Sackler Family are permanently exiled from the addiction industry. Billions of dollars of their blood money will now begin to flow towards treatment, prevention, and support for the victims and survivors of the opioid epidemic infamously inflamed by their callous greed.

Rihan, a Cheshire H.S student was detained by ICE 2 weeks ago, despite being in the US with his family under humanitarian parole. We came together, spoke out, and fought for him. Now, he’s back home with his family. This is proof that we have power and we need to use that power to keep people safe.

Today, we sued the EPA for failing to implement a life saving clean air standard to reduce deadly soot pollution. This denies Connecticut and other states the tools we need to reduce air pollution and prevent thousands of premature deaths, asthma attacks, and hospitalizations every year.

A federal jury confirmed what we've known all along- Live Nation and Ticketmaster illegally shut out competition, leaving ticket buyers with outrageous prices and fewer choices. This is a major victory for consumers in the State of Connecticut and across the county.

20 6

We’re demanding the immediate release of Rihan, a Cheshire High School student detained by ICE. Rihan and his family entered the US legally on humanitarian parole. His father helped US troops by working as an interpreter in Afghanistan. They were doing everything by the book to build a life here.

I stood alongside Senator Blumenthal today to urge the fda to take comprehensive action to protect people from unsafe compound weight loss drugs. There are no generic GLP-1 injections. Anyone advertising one is not telling the truth and are putting people at risk.

Scam alert! We're seeing text messages falsely claiming to be from the Connecticut Superior Court about a citation notice. This is a scam. Do not click on any links, respond, or provide any personal or payment information. The Superior Court will never demand payment by text.

This is a bombshell that blows open the entire Aquarion decision. PURA completely missed half a billion dollars in rate increases. Their entire decision rested on bad math based on incomplete information. There's no question that PURA must immediately reconsider its decision and reject the sale.

The Constitution plainly forbids the President from commandeering elections to manipulate and micromanage how we vote. This executive order is an illegal attempt to disenfranchise millions of voters and fundamentally alter how Americans vote. We are suing to protect our democracy.

Hartford ➡️ Stamford ➡️ Greenwich ➡️New Haven. Connecticut is not afraid and Connecticut is not backing down. #NoKings

I released formal guidance on immigration enforcement in CT for state agencies, law enforcement, and organizations statewide. It provides clear, practical direction on how to handle interactions with federal immigration authorities. You can read the full memo here: portal.ct.gov/ag/press-rel...

Speaking with reporters about what’s at stake for CT residents following PURA's outrageous decision to approve the sale of Eversource-owned Aquarion Company. This is a $6 billion gift to Eversource, to be paid by CT families and towns over the next 40 years.

13 2

We're suing to stop the Trump admin from holding critical USDA funding hostage. Trump's message to CT is: fall in line with extreme MAGA ideology, or your families go hungry. These conditions are unlawful we're suing to ensure CT gets every penny of USDA funding that our taxpayers paid for.

Starting March 25, Kratom will be illegal in the State of Connecticut. Kratom, along with 7-OH, bromazolam, flubromazolam, nitazenes, tianeptine (“gas station heroin”) and phenibut will be classified as a Schedule 1 controlled substances, meaning they cannot be bought, sold, or possessed.

10 6

No one is above the law. SB397 and HB5448 make that clear. Proud to stand with state legislative leaders and Senator Richard Blumenthal as we fight to safeguard our communities and to respect, honor, and protect Connecticut's immigrants and immigrant families.

11 3

I'm co-leading a coalition of AGs in suing to stop the EPA's unlawful rollback of its Endangerment Finding, the legal and scientific foundation for limiting greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles. The EPA has ignored the law and science in its rush to fulfill the wishes of the fossil fuel industry.

21 5

We're suing to block a $6.2 billion Nexstar/TEGNA merger that would create a media giant reaching 80% of US TV households. This would give Nexstar, the largest local TV broadcasting company in the US, even more power, while threatening to reduce competition, drive up costs, and weaken local news.

Yesterday, I argued before the PURA to reject the sale of Aquarion. The board already rejected this deal in Nov. Nothing has changed. Yet earlier this month, PURA reversed course and preliminary approved it. 720k+ people across 62+ cities are now at risk of higher water bills and weaker oversight.

12 2

We’ve launched an investigation into SunStrong and secured a $100k settlement with Spruce Power. This is a part of our ongoing work to ensure honest and fair service for solar customers, and we will not hesitate to use the full weight of our law enforcement authority to protect homeowners.

Stopped by Trinity Bar & Restaurant to pour a few drinks and then joined the crowds for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in New Haven. Always great to see the community come together to celebrate. Sláinte! ☘️

In just one month, PURA has handed three major wins to utility executives while Connecticut families struggle with rising costs. Connecticut ratepayers deserve better.

11 2

The Supreme Court already made it clear Trump didn't have the authority to impose the first round of tariffs. Now, the administration is trying again under a different statute that doesn't apply. We're suing him again.

29 11

We beat Trump on tariffs in the Court of International Trade, the Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court. Now, we're back in court defending families and businesses from another round of lawless Trump taxes. He needs to stop this trade war. We can't afford to keep bankrolling stupidity.

26 9

Another lawsuit. Another win. A federal court has dismissed a challenge to Connecticut's common sense gun safety laws, reaffirming they are lawful, necessary, and lite saving.

16 4

Today, I stood alongside bipartisan leaders from towns across Connecticut to send a clear message: PURA needs to stand by its original decision and oppose the proposed sale of Aquarion. Families in our state cannot afford another unjustified and unaffordable rate increase.

7 1

Connecticut families cannot afford higher bills. PURA's decision puts corporate profits ahead of ratepayers. We'll keep fighting in every single proceeding before PURA to ensure Connecticut families do not pay a penny more than absolutely necessary.

10 1

What the hell. PURA got this dead wrong. This decision delivers $68 million more in profits and hundreds of thousands of dollars in bonus pay for corporate executives. CT families and businesses cannot afford the bills they get now, and they cannot afford this increase. We're going to keep fighting.

Stopped by Bridgeport's first ever Ramadan Night Market. A great way to bring the community together and highlight local businesses. Events like this reflect the diversity and vibrancy that make Connecticut stronger. It runs through Sunday at The Arcade Mall.

22 3

Today we filed a brief at the U.S. Supreme Court to defend birthright citizenship and stand up to President Trump's illegal effort to rewrite the Constitution. If you are born on American soil, you are an American. That's not politics. That's the Constitution.

21 5

We are announcing today that we have secured an unprecedented commitment from JRK Property Holdings to pay up to $5.1 million in financial relief to residents of Concierge Apartments following our investigation into unsafe and unlivable conditions.

17 3

Today, we joined 15 states suing to block the Trump Admin’s unlawful overhaul of the childhood immunization schedule. Trump and RFK Jr. are putting children at risk by ignoring science and bypassing federal law. We're taking action to protect families, support doctors, and uphold the rule of law.

35 11

A massive defeat for Donald Trump and a major win for families and workers. Connecticut and ten other states stood up to the President and sued. We won in the Court of International trade, Court of Appeals, and now in the Supreme Court. Mr. President, what's your plan now to give us our money back?
