Cutting Local NHS Waiting Lists by Over 20,000 ✅📉 Investment and targeted reforms are starting to pay off. Since the general election, waiting lists across our local NHS trusts have fallen by more than 20,000. But we’re not stopping here.

Changes to Grok by X are an important win and testament to everyone who called out this grim practise. Especially the many women who did so knowing it would make them a target for exactly this abuse. Plenty more to do, but a welcome reminder that it’s in our power to make online spaces safer.

Record breaking deal for new renewable energy 🚀 Today we anounced a the largest ever expansion in renewable ofshore windpower. This will play a vital role in driving forward the transition to clean, secure and price stable renewable power and will create enough energy to power over 12m homes.

Zero tolerance for AI sexualising images of children ❌ It’s been sickening to hear reports of AI tools on social media platforms being used to create sexualised images of children. Today in Parliament I pressed Ministers to refuse to tolerate vile practise.

Delighted we’ve secured funding for 130 extra SEND provision places in Central Beds 📈 There’s no single silver bullet for the challenges facing SEND education, but this is another welcome step forwards ✅

📈 More investment for SEND places in our schools. Since being elected, I’ve campaigned hard on the lack of provision for families across our Hitchin constituency. Councils must do better, but they also need proper national backing. That’s why we've invested £3bn.

Keeeping our neighbourhoods safe 👮 Boosting our police presnce is a top priority to me and it was a pleasure to spend this afternoon with our neighbourhood police team and to see their important work on the ground. Thanks to all of our officers for the incredible work they do to keep us safe!

It’s time to stop stigmatising young men 👥 When it comes to harmful attitudes towards relationships and women, we owe young men far better than simply painting them as the problem without critical support. I pushed ministers to ensure we get this right as part of our curriculum reform.

🚧 Getting development right with Tempsford 🚧 This week I pushed ministers to ensure that if Tempsford New Town does come forward, we make the most of this opportunity to deliver meaningful improvements for the wider region.

❄️ Freezing train ticket prices ❄️ For the first time in over 30 years, the Government is freezing train ticket prices for next year. This move will save local commuters up to hundred of pounds a year ✅

Pushing for solar on car parks and rooftops ☀ Earlier this year I campaigned successfully for new homes to come with solar panels as standard. I want us to go further to ensure we maximise the clean, cheap energy we can produce at home. Car parks and warehouses should be next on the agenda.

How can we keep young people and children safe online? 💬 We know the digital world offers incredible benefits for young people, but it’s clear we’ve often fail to fully appreciate the harms and risks it can bring too. 👏 This was incredibly spotlighted in the debate I attended at Hitchin Boys.

It was great to see Strathmore School’s nursery included in Labour’s programme to invest in expanded nursery provision at local schools. This is helping Strathmore expand its offer to families, helping children get the very best start in life, and they have spaces available now! 🌱👶
