BREAKING: A federal judge dismissed the DOJ’s case against my office. Arizonans’ personal identifying information is safe and I will continue doing everything in my power to protect your privacy.

When you think about Arizona’s elections, think about major league sports. Arizona has built a robust election administration system and we should not tear it down just to appease a few sore losers.

The constitution gives states the power to run elections and Arizona excels at it. We’ve required documented proof of citizenship at point of registration and ID at polls for 20+ years, and we have a robust mail in voting system that serves nearly 80% of our voters.

The articles circling today regarding the Maricopa County Recorder and information which may have been shared are as troubling as the original DOJ request for sensitive voter data from June 2025. (1/2)

Leading with honesty and facts is how you deliver a safe and secure election season to Arizona’s voters. As long as I am Secretary of State, voters can remain confident that my office will never get sidetracked by political games or conspiracy theories.

"What could have been an email, turned into a circus." Check out Secretary Fontes on this week’s Arizona Horizon as he explained the newest update in his fight to protect the personal identifying information of Arizona's voters.

"[The federal government] operates on the back side of [election administration]...They're not supposed to be injected on the front side, intimidating voters, causing us extra grief and cost in planning and trying to figure out where they are."

Congratulations, Apache Country! Vote centers protect and expand voter access. This move puts voters first.

14 4

Voting should fit your life. Your time, your vote, and your access to the ballot box are too precious to be the center of cheap political games.

As your Secretary of State, I will never shy away from a fight to protect your vote, your rights, and your privacy.

In the US, we demand a fair fight in our elections. As long as I am Secretary of State, it's going to stay that way. Don't get discouraged. State & county level administrators make sure we deliver secure and accessible elections without fail, regardless of the noise coming from Washington D.C.

2020 is done. It’s over. The lies about our elections need to stop. Our administrators at the state and county level are our neighbors, our family, and our friends. Arizonans run our election in Arizona and it’s going to stay that way as long as I am Secretary of State.

This is un-American and will not stand without a fight. States run elections.

My office is continuing our investigation into what the Arizona State Senate handed over to the FBI. Our first priority will always be protecting Arizona voters and their personal identifying information.

States run elections to protect our democracy from a single point of failure. As long as I am Secretary of State, I will do everything in my power to protect your personal identifying information.

Bad policy costs everyone: your time, counties’ resources, and taxpayer dollars. Our elections are already secure, accessible, and safe. So let’s invest in voters, counties, and a system that works—not tear it down to satisfy a few sore losers.

10 7

Exercising your right to vote is priceless—but let’s be real: elections cost money. We always hear “time is money.” When it comes to voting, it’s not just the state’s money...it’s your time.

Extremists in TX showed us exactly why extremists in AZ are wrong to strip away the vote center model. The vote center model is affordable, secure &convenient for voters no matter where they live. As long as I’m SOS, I will work to ensure every eligible voter can cast their ballot how they see fit.

Arizona’s elections are run by Arizonans. Our voters and counties deserve every available resource to ensure our elections are secure and accessible. We really can have it all, folks, but the legislature must pay for it.

10 7

Arizona is a bottom-up state when it comes to elections. Our counties, your neighbors and mine, do the hard work to keep Arizona’s elections safe, secure and accessible. As Arizona’s Secretary of State, I will do everything in my power to fight for our voters and election administrators.

18 8

Here’s the facts, Arizona. My office will continue working to protect your private voter information and remain focused on delivering a secure and accessible 2026 election.
