On Yom HaShoah, we remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and honor the survivors who carry their stories forward. Last year, I had the privilege of recognizing Andra Bucci—a Holocaust survivor and Sacramento County resident—on the House floor.

I'm getting tons of letters from my constituents talking about how they can no longer afford their health care premiums. Last week, the House voted to restore ACA subsidies and deliver relief to the American people. Senate Republicans and President Trump must act.

Every House Democrat and four Republicans signed a discharge petition to force a vote on extending Affordable Care Act subsidies. That vote will happen this week. I invite more of my Republican colleagues to support our push lower health care costs for the American people.

Today is the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. We must restore Roe and give women the right to make their own health care decisions.

I just voted again to end Donald Trump’s war with Iran. Unfortunately, my Republican colleagues continue to put their loyalty to the president over the needs of the American people.
