Pam Bondi refused to answer virtually every substantive question that was asked of her today before the Oversight Committee, but we learned a lot from the little she said.

We’re here to ask Pam Bondi why and how the DOJ released the identities (and nude photos) of Epstein survivors, while redacting and protecting the billionaires, including Trump, who preyed on them.

Trump is not just pardoning white collar criminals. He is wiping away the money they owe to victims. Billions of dollars in restitution: gone. Under “Meeker” Mike Johnson, House Republicans choose fecklessness and loyalty to Trump over the Constitution.

I was able to chat with local Muslim leaders yesterday about the SD shooting and the concerns about Islamophobia.

Just voted no on H.R. 1329, which I actually cosponsored. Republicans turned a bipartisan bill to create a new women’s history museum into a partisan tribute to Trump. A museum dedicated to preserving and celebrating women’s history should never be turned into another Trump self-enrichment scheme.

We are 81 days into Trump’s illegal Iran War, and Americans are the ones paying the price—at the pump, in our utility bills, at the store. Meanwhile, Mike Johnson and the House GOP are ignoring the Iran War and pretending that Congress has no role to play. This bullshit needs to end.

I’m so proud to represent a community that has such a strong spirit of volunteerism. “Farmer Dave” was excited to join Second Harvest Food Bank’s Harvest Solutions Farm last week to help plant bell peppers.

Today, we heard testimony making clear that cameras were installed throughout Epstein’s estate, including in rooms where abuse took place. The DOJ has never sought to acquire or produce this evidence to the public. The coverup cannot continue. We will be demanding answers from Pam Bondi next week.

Oversight Dems are in Palm Beach, just miles from the Epstein estate where so many horrific crimes took place. It’s shameful that not a single Republican joined us. But we’re here to do our job: hear from the survivors and fight for accountability for everyone who enabled or covered up these abuses.

Yes I said it. Kash Patel’s lawsuit against the Atlantic is a “bullshit lawsuit”. He has a well earned reputation for being incompetent and AWOL on the job. Kash is going to lose this lawsuit (or drop it), but the attempts to weaponize our justice system by partisan hacks is no laughing matter.

Calling it something different won’t change the reality: this one big ugly bill is still one of the worst bills in US history. Trump promised lower costs on day one, but instead Americans are $3,200 poorer under his policies. Reverse the bill. Restore healthcare. Release the files.

An empty chair said everything today: ICE was invited to answer questions about its new Irvine lease and refused to show up. ICE is renting a large office space in Irvine and refuses to answer questions about it. That’s why I invited them to a roundtable discussion with local leaders.

Donald Trump’s behavior with Iran does not look like strategic leadership or savvy negotiation. It looks like the conduct of someone who bankrupted six casinos—which is exactly what he did.

Not a single vote on the Iran war. Not a single oversight hearing. Funding packages stalled while DHS remains in shutdown limbo. This Congress is setting records for dysfunction. Mike Johnson, do your job. Bring Congress back and get to work.

Increasingly, there are two Americas: one for Trump and the Epstein elite, and one for the rest of us. Pete Hegseth exonerating the helicopter pilots before any real accountability process could play out is exactly what that looks like. That is not justice. And it is not the rule of law.

House Republicans were offered a clean DHS funding package covering everything except ICE, and they still killed it. This is the least productive Congress ever. Mike Johnson and the House GOP have shown over and over they are incapable of governing. They only care about stroking Trump’s ego.

During my visit to Adelanto, ICE made sure I saw a clean, orderly and well run detention facility. But when I met with my constituents, they told me the conditions were unsafe, unhealthy, and inhumane.

The average price of gas in California has surged to $5.20 a gallon. Donald Trump dragged the country into an illegal war with Iran, and working families are paying the price.

If Oversight Republicans actually cared about protecting tax dollars, they’d be outraged that those dollars are funding assaults on American citizens in our streets. Instead, they’re more focused on protecting pedophiles and shielding powerful people from accountability.

I’ll keep it simple. Everyone with ties to Epstein must testify.  The survivors and the American people deserve a serious investigation. I urge Chair Comer to pursue integrity, not partisan theatrics.

I’m out in Ohio today because I made a promise to do all I could to ensure transparency and justice for the Epstein survivors. Les Wexner is a key piece of the puzzle, and we will continue to pursue the truth.

I had the chance to visit Neat Coffee in Costa Mesa and meet with owner Ally Garvin to hear how Trump’s tariffs, which have caused a 14.5% increase in coffee prices, are impacting her business. Trump’s tax increases on imported goods are illegal and they are harming America.

Americans are seeing what looks like a cover up and an attempt to rig the judicial system in favor of some of the richest, most powerful people in the world. America has a chance right now to show there is one rule of law here.

America did not elect us to Congress to be NPCs. But Congressional Republicans continue to refuse to show any free will or independent thought, simply doing whatever Trump wants. It’s long past time that my GOP colleagues stood up and honored their oaths to defend the Constitution.

They claimed Alex Pretti was brandishing a deadly weapon because to them, a camera recording clear evidence of ICE crimes is just that. I’ll keep it simple. ICE agents do not enjoy “absolute immunity” and those who commit violent crimes will be prosecuted. We will enforce the rule of law.

I went to ICE headquarters yesterday to demand accountability. No one is above the law, and every single person who has been assaulted by an ICE agent deserves justice.   Our next steps are clear. No more funding for ICE. Investigations must begin. Kristi Noem must be removed.

Withholding social service funding from blue states to score political points is an abuse of power. This is what authoritarianism looks like in practice. Targeting political opponents. Punishing communities. And using children and families as leverage. Weaponizing aid is cruel and un-American.

Alex Pretti was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Stop the spin and the horrific lies about him. Let his family grieve in peace.

What we witnessed was the execution of a civilian bystander by masked government agents. Not self-defense. Not law enforcement. Murder. Everyone responsible will face criminal charges. There will be accountability. In the meantime, get the fuck out of MN and start following the law.

5-year-olds detained. People murdered in DHS custody. Orders to break into people’s homes without warrants. And more. ICE is systematically violating the law with no accountability. Today, I’m voting hell no on the bill to fund ICE. Enough is enough.

Trump and I both went to Wharton, but unlike him I went to class. Soaring costs are a direct result of Trump’s economically illiterate policies: tariffs, killing clean energy, and slashing Medicaid/ACA to fund billionaire tax breaks. Working families are paying the price.

Minnesota, we are standing with you, because you are turning the tide. Your cameras, your voices, your whistles, they are turning the tide. You’re standing up to authoritarianism, defending our democracy, and we are with you every step of the way.

We’re here to do the job Republicans won’t do: conduct oversight, demand accountability, and confront the outrageous violence and lawlessness of ICE head-on. What is happening in Minnesota right now is evil, it is un-American, and it is completely illegal.
