Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation

Thanks to the Daughters of the American Revolution, we’re restoring the honor roll featuring the names of the Heart Mountain soldiers who fought in World War II. Aura Sunada Newlin has the details here.

We met with officials at the Interior Department and members of Congress from both parties to seek full funding of the Japanese American Confinement Sites program and the transfer of land where our historic hospital sits. We’re grateful for their support and generosity.

We’re on Capitol Hill this week meeting with the Wyoming delegation to discuss how to transfer the land where the hospital land and iconic chimney are located to Heart Mountain. Thanks to Rep. Harriet Hageman for our first meeting Monday. We’re grateful for her support.
