💛 The @snp.org’s Scottish Child Payment is helping reduce child poverty in Scotland - the only part of the UK where rates are falling. 👉 While others target the poor and vulnerable to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest, the SNP will always stand up for those who need support most.

🙋‍♀️ Speaking in the Chamber today, I highlighted how the @snp.org’s tax policies continue to deliver a progressive approach in Scotland while generating significant revenue for public services. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Just imagine how much more we could do with the fresh start of independence.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Yesterday, Scotland’s Parliament backed a second independence referendum. 👀 Not one unionist MSP made a positive case for staying in the UK. 🤔 If they’re so confident, why fear letting Scotland choose its future? Or are they worried this time the answer will be yes?

❌ The UK Gov’s position on Scotland’s right to hold a referendum on our independence is fundamentally undemocratic. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland has once again re-elected a Scottish Government committed to giving the people of Scotland a say over their future. Democracy did not end in 2014.

This afternoon, I made a statement to the Scottish Parliament outlining the Scottish Government’s position on protecting children from harm. I confirmed my intention to establish a statutory public inquiry to consider Scotland’s response to group-based child sexual abuse and exploitation.

🎉 Delighted to celebrate the first anniversary of Collydean’s Dolly Parton Imagination Library this week & the renewal of the project for a further year thanks to local employer, Leviton. 📚 This fantastic initiative will see local children receive a free book every month.

👏 A strong answer from the First Minister, John Swinney, today that underlined the Scottish Government’s strong record on tackling crime since coming to power in 2007.

🩺 On BBC Debate Night I welcomed the £21 billion investment in our NHS delivered in Scot Gov’s Budget and the introduction of GP walk-in centres. 🥀 Earlier this year Labour MSPs chose not to support this investment. 💛 The SNP will always deliver for Scotland and continue put our people first.

🗣️ Tonight on BBC Debate Night, highlighted the Scottish Government's commitment towards tackling child poverty in Scotland. 💛 Thanks to this SNP Scottish Government, the Scottish Child Payment currently supports the families of over 326,000 children, including 24,920 here in Fife.

☀️ Jenny Gilruth MSP has been out speaking to business owners in Glenrothes today about the issues that are important to them and the local economy. 👉 Businesses have been hit hard in recent years by rising inflation & the impact of the UK Gov’s decision to increase Employers National Insurance Tax.

✅ The Education (Scotland) Bill has now passed at Stage 3 with the backing of the Scottish Parliament. 📝 A new qualifications body, to be known as Qualifications Scotland, will be formed to replace the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).

🗣️ I spoke on The Sunday Show to share my concerns about the challenges at Dundee University. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scot Gov is providing an additional £10 million of support to assist universities such as Dundee with navigating immediate financial challenges, on top of £15 million extra support previously announced.
