I will always stand up to Donald Trump to defend California.

We should be proud to live in a state that is the fourth biggest economy in the world. But we should be absolutely ashamed that we have the worst housing crisis in the country. We have to build more housing to lower the cost of living in California.

As a member of Governor Newsom’s cabinet, I’ve built a service organization larger than the Peace Corps. As LG, I will continue growing these programs so that every young Californian has the opportunity to serve.

You know what I never did when I wore our nation’s uniform? Hide behind a damn mask. If ICE acted the way they are currently, while in the military, they would all be court-martialed.

Over the last seven years we’ve built the largest service force in the nation, even larger than the Peace Corps! This work is about building a culture of community and compassion across the state, where we take care of each other and everyone is a part of a common mission.
