The DC Councilmembers in this race chair the Judiciary and Housing committees. We've got crime and housing crises. Elect the candidate with the national experience to win our fights!

13 Days Until the DC Primary! While canvassing yesterday, I met a voter who had filled out his ballot without voting for me. He said when he heard me at the @wamu.org forum, he'd gone home to tear up his mail-in ballot so he could go vote in-person to rank me first for DC Delegate on June 16.

14 Days Until the DC Primary! Yesterday I met a woman who said one of our leaders' priorities should be creating opportunities for kids to be productive after school to keep kids out of trouble.

Happy Pride Month! As we celebrate the most vibrant LGBT+ community in the world here in DC, I’ll always stand against the discrimination and hatred too many are experiencing. Thank you Crush Dance Bar, KC B. Yoncé and everyone for an amazing night!

15 Days until the DC Primary. Join me as we get ready to walk a million steps and knock at least 15,000 doors across our city to make the case that I am the proven national fighter we need to send to Congress.

Thank you to NAACP DC and the National Pan-Hellenic Council of DC for hosting a great candidate forum at Nineteenth Street Baptist Church!

If someone lacks the courage and conviction to even say who their second choice for Delegate would be, how can we trust them to have what it takes to stand up for DC in Congress?

My opponents will put all the progress Eleanor Holmes Norton has made towards DC statehood at risk. We need to carry her legacy forward, not set it back!

Let’s go win this thing! There are only 3 weeks left to rank me number one for DC Delegate by June 16.

Out knocking doors in the neighborhood around Sankofa Cafe, hearing what’s on the minds of voters in the lead up to the June 16 primary.

It is time to vote DC! Some of my kids got together to remind our city that the ballot boxes are open and to rank their mom number 1 for DC Delegate by June 16.

In the hands of the Trump administration, everything becomes twisted and everything becomes cruel. Prosecuting DC parents isn’t going to make their children more law abiding.

I can’t wait to bike to work on Capitol Hill. As a resident of DC, I love how bike-friendly our city is becoming. As DC Delegate, I will never stop fighting for local control of our infrastructure. Happy Bike to Work Day!

For Mother’s Day, my four kids gave me the most wonderful surprise. Thank you all so much! I love you ❤️

Being a mom is the hardest job there is. I’m the only mother in the race for DC Delegate, and DC needs a momma bear who will fight for the future of all of our children. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, & friends who do the hardest but most rewarding work every day.

It is my honor to have the endorsement of @raskin.house.gov, former DNC Chair, and my friend of 3 decades! Jaime and I have worked together for years at Peer Forward and in politics. He was one of my earliest supporters in my campaign for Congress, and it means the world to me have him by my side.

"Robert voted against the referendum that overwhelmingly passed in this city for semi-open primaries... and Brooke could not get 6 other DC Democrats to vote with her. Those are not the skills that are going to get us Statehood."

DC needs a proven national fighter as its Delegate and effective local fighters on its Council. On June 16th, send me to Congress so I can keep fighting and winning for the city I love!

DC youth curfew: As a mother of four, I know that no parent wants their child to be a victim or perpetrator of a crime. Child safety is the smartest investment for any city. At DOJ and my nonprofit, I’ve helped kids stay safe and grow: I’ll keep this up on the Hill! #curfew #safety #children #dc

I’ve been thinking a lot about what universal, shared values unites us all as residents of DC. I’ve lived here for 30 years, and I’m betting it’s in our City’s desire to Serve. Let me know in the comments what you think… #service #serve #dc #kinney4dc

“…80% of today’s DC voters could not vote in DC the last time this city had any kind of serious conversation about what this job is or who should fill it”

“I have learned in my long career working in jobs where I've had power & where I've had no power that when you have no formal power, the way you get things done is you recruit allies and partners to your side…So I think the main job of the Delegate is to find us allies & partners across the country”

“I think the [Delegate] job is two things…autonomy and economy…the autonomy bucket is everything up to and including statehood…But the other half, to my mind, is economic growth…We have learned the hard way that we're a company Company town, and the company hates us!”

“I’m running for Congress because Trump is crushing us and we need an experienced national fighter who knows how to push back…I want to offer my services, my skills, my relationships, my networks, to the city I love!”

DC deserves better! Mean girls style politics and squabbling isn’t going to win us statehood, protect DC’s people from a hostile President, nor strengthen our economy. DC deserves a Delegate who is focused on the fights which matter and can actually win them!

Trump’s attacks on the federal workforce in DC aren’t just ideological, they also have a racist component to them. As DC’s Delegate I will do everything in my power to fight to stop and reverse the needless cuts to the workforce which underpins DCs diverse middle class and serves our country.

When we invest in programs like Head Start, we are investing in children, in moms, in families, and this is proven to pay dividends over their lifetimes. As the DC Delegate, there will be no higher priority for me than making sure that we continue to properly fund programs like Head Start!

The DC Delegate’s seat has been held by a strong woman for over three decades. Just because Eleanor Holmes Norton is retiring doesn’t mean we should change that 😎

30 Years Ago, I met this amazing man on the Metro. As Metro celebrates its 50th birthday, we thought we’d thank them for all the lives they’ve changed ❤️ Metro will always have a special place in my heart and my full support!

The DC Delegate job has two parts: Autonomy and Economy.

There are three steps to get us to DC Statehood! 1) Get everyone in DC on board 2) Get the Democratic Party to put statehood at the top of the priority list 3) Find the Republicans willing to make a grand bargain
