I asked the Water Minister to outline what action the government is taking to improve compensation for households and businesses if they have their water cut off or have low pressure. In the past residents have had to wait too long before receiving compensation.

I paid tribute to the great work by Labour locally to make bus routes available to more rural communities who often lack access to regular public transport.
Our Gurkha veterans have served Britain with distinction and we owe them a debt of honour. I spoke about the need for a fair deal for Gurkha veterans who retired before 1997 who are on lower pensions.
I welcomed the range of measures the Labour Government is taking to support families with the cost of living, including lifting the 2 child cap on UC, the warm homes plan, the first rail fare freeze in 30 years, and many other measures.
The Royal British Legion, Reading Borough Council, and local organisations like The Forgotten British Gurkha Charity are playing a vital role supporting forces veterans. I paid tribute to them and asked for best practice from Reading to be shared across the country.
I raised concerns about the impact that any potential cuts to neighbouring fire services would have on our own excellent service here in Berkshire.
I raised the issue of fly tipping, which I know is a concern for residents across Reading, and praised work by Reading Borough Council to tackle this problem. You can learn more about the Love Clean Reading app and reporting fly tipping at www.reading.gov.uk/waste-and-re...
The future of Thames Water is very important to residents and I have been raising a number of issues on their behalf. The government will always act in the national interest on these issues, and while the company remains financially stable, the government stands ready for all eventualities.

Shame on the SNP for trying to silence me on child poverty. They tried their best to shout me down today at PMQs but failed. The SNP cannot handle the truth that they had 8 years to lift the two child benefit cap - it takes a Labour Government to deliver.

Spurs’ Harrison Barnes: “I think the biggest thing for us is honestly just the details. Can we do the little things? Can we start off by being connected defensively, communicating, rebounding. If we do all of those things, it puts us in a position to run and be at our best.”

Farage backed Donald Trump on the Iran war - without actually stopping to think if it was a good idea - demonstrated by his U-Turn after he realised the impact. We need leaders who think about whats in the best interest’s of British people - not the interests of a warmonger in the White House.

We don’t have to ask ourselves what we would have done at dark moments in our history. We are in one of these moments where history is calling on us. Now it's on us, what will we do? I believe we must stand up.

Seems I need something lighthearted to finish up this dreadful year. My very 'big guy' bear uses a small tree for a little extra action to scare a raccoon and turns and smiles. Yes he does. And I am smiling too. You cannot not love bears.

Catherine Perez-Shakdam told the Jerusalem Post Conference in New York that Iran's hostility runs deeper than rhetoric. She argued Hamas and Hezbollah exist to encircle Saudi Arabia, and that controlling Mecca and Medina means controlling the Islamic world.
