These 100 year-old bridges need an upgrade. My bipartisan BRIDGE Act with @duckworth.senate.gov will establish a brand-new grant program to restore our commuter rail bridges—investing $1.5 billion EVERY YEAR in public transit.

I recently got to visit Green City Market and hear about their GCM for All program — which allows SNAP recipients to get triple the value of their benefits and access fresh fruits and vegetables.

The #Ebola crisis reminds us how important it is for the United States to fund global health initiatives. As we’ve seen in the past, pandemics do not stop at our borders.

I’m fighting with @democrats-appropriations.house.gov to restore funding to USAID and other efforts that keep us safe.
