Federal TRIO Programs were designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Taking these workforce development programs away slams the doors of opportunity for 43,000 low income and first generation students who just need a shot.

I’m on the floor at 11pm because Republicans put forth a Farm Bill that cements $187B in SNAP cuts, gives a blanket liability shield to pesticide corporations, rolls back environmental programs & does not address destabilizing tariffs. This Farm Bill does not meet the moment for families & farmers.

It’s “Fly-in" season at the U.S. Capitol and CT05 constituents, organizations and advocates traveled to DC to bring their concerns directly to Congress. These meetings are an essential part of the legislative process.

The Benefits Advisors at EBSA serve all Americans–from navigating health & retirement plans to handling claim denials. Despite the tremendous return on investment, the Admin is proposing $10M cuts to the program. Today, Labor AS Aronowitz committed to prioritizing the program despite proposed cuts.
