More than 50,000 Connecticut residents lost SNAP benefits since the passage of H.R.1, and it is unclear what the USDA is doing to ensure these families don’t fall deeper into hunger. Grateful for the actions taken by Gov. Lamont to keep CT families fed.

This Farm Bill does not meet the moment for families & farmers.

It’s “Fly-in" season at the U.S. Capitol and CT05 constituents, organizations and advocates traveled to DC to bring their concerns directly to Congress. These meetings are an essential part of the legislative process.

Federal TRIO Programs were designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Taking these workforce development programs away slams the doors of opportunity for 43,000 low income and first generation students who just need a shot.
