Despite the fact that I serve on the Oversight Committee, Oversight Republicans refused to let me speak during their sham hearing on Medicaid in Ohio. Why? They knew I would call out their political theater. Here's what happened and why it matters:

Trump’s horrendous plan to give $1.8 billion to Jan 6 Rioters and his political allies must be stopped. He’s just throwing the corruption in our face at this point. That’s why I joined @mikethompson.house.gov’s bill to block this fund - there can be no money for Trump’s criminal cronies.

Today, I filed legislation to end Trump's war of choice in Iran. My bill is part of our effort in the Congressional Progressive Caucus to keep the pressure on, keep forcing votes, and hold Trump and the GOP accountable.

Congrats to the 25-26 OH-11 Youth Advisory Council! This weekend, we celebrated these students as they delivered their capstone presentations on key issues that matter to them. It’s inspiring to see the next generation step forward, find their voice, and prepare to lead.

Update from DC- I'm voting again to end Trump's war with Iran.

State after state after state… Thanks to the Supreme Court, there is a race to redraw the South, to engineer electorates that give Trump all the majority-white districts he needs. The tragedy is that this proves why we needed the Vioting Rights Act in the first place.

We have got to lower gas prices. Making E-15 available year-round is a button we can push today. It’s good for drivers, good for farmers, and good for the country.

When it comes to manufacturing, we’ve got to take on China and win. I welcomed House China Committee Ranking Member, @rokhanna.bsky.social to the Port of Cleveland for a meeting with leaders from the port, the maritime industry, and labor on how we can create more jobs in NE Ohio.

Proud to announce that my office secured over $1 million in funds for Cleveland Metroparks' CHEERS project.   CHEERS will be transformational, creating new park space on the East Side with lakefront parkland and a protected cover with natural shoreline habitat, trails, and more.

Small business owners face so many barriers, and as a former entrepreneur, I remember how overwhelming it felt. That's why we hold our Small Business Expo - to create a one-stop shop for NE Ohioans looking to take their business to the next level. #SBE26

Earlier this year, my office secured $850,000 in federal funding for the Euclid Beach Connector, a new trail expanding lakefront access. Today we celebrated the groundbreaking! Proud to keep delivering for NE Ohio.

We should be providing relief to farmers and consumers, not making things worse.

Because of Trump’s Big Ugly Law, 4 million people have already lost SNAP food assistance. And because of Trump’s tariffs, costs are up for farmers and at the grocery store. Republicans just sent us a Farm Bill that cements both bad policies – that’s why I voted NO.

Trump is unfit to lead. It's time for the 25th Amendment.

Whether Republicans admit it or not, you can't call for a ceasefire unless you are at war.  But a ceasefire isn't enough. It’s time for Republicans to stop shielding this madman. Congress must reconvene to put a permanent end Trump’s reckless and costly war.

Trump is reckless, unhinged, and veering from maniacal threats to “deals” at a moment’s notice. It’s not making us safer. Congress must reconvene so that we can vote to permanently end this war.

The numbers don’t lie, Trump’s tariffs have made life worse for the American people.

It’s been one year since Trump’s terrible Liberation Day tariffs. Prices are up, manufacturing jobs are being lost, and bankruptcies are on the rise.

16 years ago today, the Affordable Care Act was signed into law – lowering costs & helping millions get health care coverage.  But Trump & Republicans in Congress cut the ACA & refuse to lower health care costs – blocking tax credits for days, weeks, months… It’s shameful.

Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating in OH-11 and across the country.

Higher prices for consumers are the “last of our concerns” for Trump’s White House. In fact, Trump said higher oil prices mean “we” make a lot of money. What? You’re paying more – and they don’t care.

Just disgraceful.

War is not a meme, & it's not a video game. This White House would rather waste $1B a day on a war Americans don't want than address the real issues here at home.

Are we the Oversight Committee or the Overlook Committee? Because Trump is treating the White House like an ATM and Republicans in Congress don’t care.

On Friday, I joined Canterbury Elementary in Cleveland Heights for their Black History Month celebration. Marian Edelman once said, "You can't be what you can't see." That's why it's so inspiring to see young people learning about Black leaders. Thanks for having me Canterbury!
