I spoke on shady party funding in parliament yesterday. For too long uncapped donations have allowed for a huge amount of influence to be exercised on our democracy from outside of our political system. It’s time for that to change. #pmqs #parliament #westminster #politics #partyfunding

I spoke about the changing state of our high streets on Politics West this weekend. The community and local identity they offer us, especially in a constituency as rural as ours, has to be protected and promoted. #politics #bbc #politicswest #debate #highstreet

With Rachel Reeves announcing free bus travel for children 5-15, and a Guardian article this week highlighting how people without cars can struggle to make basic trips for food in the constituency, I know how hard it can be to get where you want.

If you had the opportunity to put one thing into British law - an opportunity that any MP can get through the selection of Private Members Bills that are happening tomorrow - what would you choose? Comment below! #laws #parliament #mp #pmb #westminster

As Witsun recess approaches, I have had some time to reflect on why I became an MP in the first place. Everyday is an honour in this job. Reminding myself why I’m here helps keep things really simple - to make a difference. #mp #parliament #politics #localpolitics #election

The renationalisation of railways has been one of the key policies in this Government’s manifesto. Clearly, the system that we have had in the recent past has failed passengers. #itv #debate #railways #travel #mp

Here were my main thoughts on the King’s Speech, which I voiced in the ITV debate last week. Environmental collapse is not a problem you can ignore. Having an approach backed by solid policy is the only way to protect our future. #kingsspeech #environment #mp #itv #debate

It has been clear for a long time that the privatisation of water companies has failed this country. We all deserve better. A system built for us, not CEOs and shareholders. #water #mp #ITV #debate #fyp

🏡 Housing targets matter, but in rural communities like ours, it’s not just about hitting numbers. It’s about building the right homes, in the right places, in a way that protects the character, infrastructure, and sustainability of our villages for generations to come.

This week I visited RAF Fairford to see for myself what is happening on the ground.

There is understandable concern around RAF Fairford being used for US defensive operations. The safety of residents in Fairford, Kempsford, Lechlade, and the surrounding areas is a priority to me, and I will keep doing all I can to represent you on this issue in Parliament.

Yesterday I asked the Justice Secretary what he’s doing to tackle court backlogs. ⚖️ Constituents are right to be worried, victims are being denied justice and delays are growing. I’ll keep pushing the Govt to fix this and ensure our courts deliver for everyone.

Yesterday MPs debated the Bus Services Bill. I tabled an amendment to ensure those with SEND & their reps have a voice in bus franchising. It wasn’t voted on, but I’ll keep campaigning for SEND & rural transport and holding govt to account. #BusServicesBill #SEND #RuralTransport

Fighting for community strength in Parliament this week 💪🌱 I sponsored the Museum of Broken Dreams exhibition, highlighting community projects blocked by a broken system. With the English Devolution Bill, we can shift power to people + strengthen protections for our environment. #CommunityPower

As I learned rowing solo across oceans, survival depends on protecting your vessel & resources. Ukraine is no different. Sovereignty isn’t just borders - it’s fertile soils, minerals, energy. No agreement about Ukraine should be made without Ukraine at the table. 🇺🇦

Fossil fuel ads are greenwashing the truth and the climate crisis won’t wait. In Parliament, I urged the Govt to ban misleading ads and give the Climate & Nature Bill the time it deserves. Take action: action.zerohour.uk #ClimateAndNatureBill #BanFossilAds

I spoke in Parliament yesterday on the new Buses Bill, highlighting how vital reliable, affordable public transport is for our communities. From helping young people get to college to reducing rural isolation and cutting emissions, local bus services are a lifeline. 🚌
