It matters when you call or email your elected officials and doing so makes your issues a higher priority. I sat down with the Foster Files Podcast to talk about animal protection here in Pennsylvania and how you can make a difference.

There is a lot of untapped potential and value in the Mon Valley community. I recently joined Allegheny County Economic Development on C&G Strategies's podcast to talk about our work on Mon Valley Forward, the plan we're building to strengthen economic competitiveness in the Mon Valley.

Baldwin High School is the only one in Allegheny County that offers classes in ASL. I recently dropped by Ms. Graney's ASL II class to see the students in action. They taught me a few signs and I learned just how important this program has become to Baldwin High School.

For “Nick in Your Neighborhood,” I visited Balena Bagels in Castle Shannon, joined by Rep. Jen Mazzocco. This small-batch bakery is serving up something special in the South Hills with a three-day fermentation process that creates the perfect balance of a soft, chewy inside and a crispy outside.

Policies like the Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit that I’ve fought for with @governor.pa.gov and @lgaustindavis.bsky.social are putting money back in the pockets of the people who most need it. We’re working to make life more affordable and strengthen the economy in the Mon Valley and across PA.

I was in Harrisburg this week for a budget hearing with the Senate Appropriations Committee. This first step in the budget process helps guide legislators as we work to negotiate a budget that funds everything from schools to public transit to senior services here in Allegheny County and across PA.

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape our daily lives, we need to ensure that folks know when they're dealing with AI and not a real human. That's why I wrote a bipartisan bill to require notice when you are interacting with AI online.

The price you pay for a loaf of bread shouldn't depend on when you go to the grocery store and it shouldn't change between getting the loaf off the shelf and getting to the checkout. I've introduced legislation to ban this practice, known as dynamic pricing, for essential goods like eggs and milk.

One of my top priorities is to make sure you have access to the services you need close to where you live. My satellite office at the Plum Borough Library is open to assist you with state services from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM Mon-Fri, with extended hours until 6:00 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Happy Fish Fry Friday! This week my team and I visited a bunch of fish fries all over the area, make sure you check them all out this Lenten season! 🐟🍟🍴

Today is the start of my favorite time of the year: Fish Fry Season. I stopped by West Wilmerding VFD for an excellent fish sandwich with Rep. Markosek. Be sure you get out there over the next few weeks to support our fire departments, churches, and other community organizations.

The state budget affects your daily life, from the roads you drive on to the schools your children attend. That's why I'm excited to hear @governor.pa.gov's commitment to invest in our public schools, strengthen our infrastructure, and make Pennsylvania more affordable for working families.
