pt 3 - a section on dnd cats! then some later doodles. then merch stuff.. i think theres some real growth over the book, which is so reassuring, thank god! even if i stagnated in some ways, i definitely got better in a bunch of areas too

Since you asked specifically about painting and blending I think these are the most important factors to think about to when capturing the form and its roundness, and things like colour/temp variation give you more variety so even the flat areas stay interesting!

I made this video going through my general painting process! It's not much, but I hope it's useful. I find it's super helpful to look at reference while thinking of the things I mention and analysing other people's work to help decide on colour/temperature/edge control

oh man, i remember postng a wip of this on my story and kept thinking it was too drab and flat but my corrections made it worse for me noooooooooooooooo. always a risk
