I have severe ADHD. I found this out in my first therapy session yesterday. I scored 9/9 in both categories of my assessment and now I'm hoping to learn how to live with ADHD so it's not as debilitating. #mensmentalhealth

June is Pride Month and it's also Men's Mental Health Month. Both are vitally important. As a gay man with ADHD, I try and share as much information about both issues as possible. We need to raise awareness, share our stories and get rid of the stigma attached to both. #Pride #mensmentalhealth

You wouldn't believe the amount of hate I've had to put up with since my Pride post. Kissing my husband for one second should be mundane, your outrage should be at the amount of hate crimes and criminalisation of the LGBTQIA+ community around the world. Everyone deserves equality. #Pride

0 0

It's Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. This delightful person also said it was good there were so many hate crimes against the LGBTQIA+ community as we're an abomination. THIS is why we still need Pride. Done people don't listen, they don't think, they just hate. Queer people deserve equality #Pride

1 0

I posted a video for the start of Pride month earlier today and kissed my husband. You see my tongue for a split second and this has offended a lot of people. Almost 19,000 hate crimes against British queer people in the past 12 months but they choose to be offended by a married couple kissing?

0 0

Do we still need Pride? Here in the UK we have equal rights and yet we don't have equality. In the past year there have been almost 19,000 hate crime attacks on the queer community and most of the world still criminalises homosexuality and the LGBTQIA+ community. That's why. Happy #Pride Month!

What's your favourite 1980s cartoon? For me it's Dungeons and Dragons and The Mysterious Cities of Gold. There are so many and yet we're getting another Masters of the Universe film. I like He-Man and I'll probably watch it - but why can't we have other '80s cartoons on the big screen as well?

We need to move to Thailand. Yes, the person who's been complaining about the heat in the UK all week is saying that! This has been 11 years in the making though as Ken wants to be closer to his family in Singapore. And advice from Brits now living in Thailand would be great.

Hey USA. A lot of Americans have been responding to my post - about how we don't have Air Conditioning in the UK - with images of cheap window AC units. Unfortunately most of the windows in the UK open like doors so we can't use them.

0 0

Why don't we just install Aircon in the UK? There's a few reasons for this. Money, brick buildings, lots of rented apartments and people are slower to change than the climate.

0 0

You've probably seen loads of British people complaining about the weather recently... Why does it feel hotter in the UK than at the same temperature in other parts of the world?

0 0

I opened the food bin in the kitchen and a fountain of maggots flew out 🤮 That bin is now outside and I've bleached everything... still freaked out though. Rotting food, flies and heat. Disgusting!

0 0

It's currently 50.5 degrees Celsius in our conservatory. I've closed the door to stop the heat coming through to the rest of the house. it's so hot in there, the floor was burning my feet. Good job Ken's in the office today. I blame the heat for not remembering the word thermometer!

2 0

This is how we cool down when it's hot in the UK - we go to a beer garden. I also took along a card game which was fun but it does look like I'm advertising Flip 7 🤣 We played 5 rounds and Eileen won 4 of them!

2 0

It's TOO hot! Yes we British complain about the weather all the time, when it's cold, raining, snowing, windy, overcast, slightly damp - but this really is too hot. We are not built for over 28c and it's currently 32... so let's go to the pub! 😎

0 0

I planned to be posting a video of the BBQ today, but I forgot to film anything, so instead here's a minute of me after the BBQ chatting about sunshine and Sangria. Enjoy! 🤣

0 0

It's bank holiday weekend and we're having a heatwave - so what better time to have a BBQ with friends. It's so hot, I'm currently making white Sangria without clothes. No we don't have Aircon, yes we know we should! Naked Sangria anyone? 🤣

I get hate comments every single day on social media platforms. In the past I would try to reason with these people, but they're not people, they're either trolls or bots that only want to spread hate. So do yourself and your mental health a favour and block them.

1 0

You didn't get to choose where you were born, what colour your skin is, what language you speak - none of us did. So why does discrimination exist? We're all human beings, at the core we're all the same. One global community.

1 0

I totally understand the feelings behind this comment but I don't think it helps. It's keeping the divide in place without addressing the cause. We need education to replace misinformation.

1 0

There is no us versus them, only us. We are all human beings and we should be looking out for each other, not just the people in our bubble. We don't get a say in where we are born, what skin colour we have or what language we speak - we are all equal and all equally important.

1 0

We spend far too much time arguing with bots on social media. How do we combat this? Add your follower count next to your username. If everyone does this it's a simple way to show who's real and who's a bot.

4 0

Do you still have DVDs and Blu-rays? I do but I don't have a working player anymore. I would like one for the films I can't get on streaming, but they're expensive and I don't have space for a DVD collection anymore.

1 0

Boycotting Eurovision because of Israel's participation does not mean you hate all Jewish people, it means you hate the war in Gaza. We are all human beings first and when other human beings are suffering, our focus should be on them.

2 0

Hailstone, high wind, rain, bright sunshine - all in 15 minutes. Wherever you visit the UK, make sure you pack for all seasons in one day! The joys of British weather.

0 0

Do you hate calling people on the phone? I have anxiety about making calls and it takes a lot for me to actually do it. And then I find out this is common for people with ADHD.

0 0

Will you be watching Eurovision this year? I have watched it every year, the grand final is one of my favourite nights of the year - but not this year. I cannot stand by a company that would allow Israel to compete. Eurovision is about uniting people through song - but this is destroying it.

Is society crumbling? Why is there so much hate? I've seen this a lot on social media since our local elections last week. For minorities, hate has always been there but this new wave I believe is caused by social media and people not fact checking what they see, hear and read.

Back in November I won a charity auction for Wicked tickets and a meal at the Hard Rock Cafe. We saw Wicked a few months ago and on Saturday we went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Piccadilly - only to discover it was the wrong restaurant!

We played Shuffleboard at a place called Boom Battle Bar last night. Charmaine booked it as a pre-dinner activity. The music is very loud, but the place is so much fun. First time playing Shuffleboard and will definitely be back to play again.

Could a bio tech company create the technology to exact people's dreams and bring them into the real world? That's the premise of my science fiction novel, Refraction. Links on my profile. #books

The results are still coming in from yesterday's Local Elections but Reform are already gaining so many seats. I've seen people online shocked at this but look at the voter turn out across the country - most people didn't vote at all.

1 0

We have local elections here in England today but I know not everyone will vote and I don't understand why. If you can't make it on the day, you can register before the election and send in a postal vote the week before.

Over the weekend we met up with a friend for Sunday lunch and walked through Carshalton Ponds. The sun was shining, nature was blooming and cute baby geese were taking shelter underneath mother goose.

I have seen so many creators tell me to stop posting from the + sign on TikTok and post from Creator Search Insights. Appeasing the algorithm may be good for engagement but I'm my option, could cause burn out really fast. #creatorsearchinsights

May the Fourth Be With You Gandalf lovers. Project Hail Mary is still in cinemas breaking box office records proving we need more original IPs. There are loads of fantastic, high concept sci-fi books out there ripe for a screen adaptation. #starwars #projecthailmary #scifi #books

There's a particular tree on the riverside walk nature trail near our house that always stands out. It's stunning. I think it's a cedar tree but I'm not sure which type. It always reminds me of the tree of life from Disney's Animal Kingdom.

2 0

What is ADHD Hyperfixation? As I'm currently going through this, I'll try and explain. For me, it's like an intense addiction that comes out of nowhere and makes me focus on one thing and one thing only. And one day it will be gone as quickly as it appeared.

1 0

Seeing a fallen tree made me think about how I would have walked across it as a kid but now all I see is danger. I grew up in Yorkshire with countryside all around. I'm happy just to walk through nature as an adult.

7 0

One of my favourite places on our local country walk is the waterfall. Over the weekend I spotted a bench at the top. It's been there for over a century and memorializes a teacher.

1 0

It's hump day. Stop for 60 seconds and enjoy the English countryside. We do this riverside walk quite a few times a year, but it's always best when the sun is out.

0 0

The local council has installed a bench near our house but no bin, so there's litter everywhere. (Take your rubbish home with you!) There are also no lights on country trails or in parks around here.

0 1

That's no moon! Even when walking through the countryside on a sunny Spring day, we're still geeks! 🤣

0 0

Turns out we're the trashy neighbours! 🤣 On a weekend we play VR on the Meta Quest 3 and recently bought a new fighting game called Dungeons of Eternity. While attacking a skeleton mage, I was actually attacking the living room blind which even magic can't fix!

House spiders can't survive outside. I learned this from social media a few days ago and checked online and it's true. If you see a harness house spider in your home, don't put it outside. I'm not arachnophobic, I just don't want to step on them.

1 0

I've been designing my own T-shirts for a few years now and this is my latest design. ADHD - Always Dreaming, Highly Distracted. So very true!

We have hot water! The heat pump is installed and we can finally shower again. They've worked really fast and done an incredible job. Many thanks to Octopus Energy - their engineers are brilliant.

2 0

The radiators are being installed today for the new heat pump which means Archie is back at Eileen's. Although this time he's loving exploring her house and feels much more at home. Cats! 😁

8 1

Today I'm cat sitting while the heat pump is being installed because Archie didn't like it at Eileen's and he keeps hiding under the duvet when he's alone because he's so frightened of the people in the house and all the noise. I don't mind at all though, he's our baby and I get to read 🙂

2 0

Day Two of having a heat pump installed. Still no hot water, no heating and it's very loud. Eileen has very kindly opened up her house for us to shower and as a refuge for Archie, but he doesn't like not being at home.

1 0

I'm very grumpy, tired and frustrated. Our boiler broke when we were in Thailand last year and was patched up but we needed a new one. So we went eco and ordered a heat pump. It's very loud, we have no hot water or heating for five days and currently no water at all.

2 0

Dolly Parton has brought out her own prosecco which we tried last night. What a way to make a living! Saturdays are our games and wine night and I always make Kir Royales but I did try this without Creme de Cassis.

I woke up to the news that Madonna was on stage with Sabrina Carpenter at Coachella last night - so that's consumed my Saturday morning. Madonna has also released her new single, I Feel So Free and it sounds just like Confessions on a Dancefloor Part 1 🙂

2 0

You will still be listening to and singing every word of a song that came out this year in 40 years time. And I know this, because I do all the time. You might not remember what you did yesterday but you will still know every lyric of a song from 1983!

2 1

Madonna has announced her next album will indeed be Confessions on a Dancefloor Part 2. It's coming out on 3 July and she's released a one minute preview titled I Feel So Free. As a huge fan of the first album, I'm really excited for Confessions 2.

4 0

Madonna has wiped her social media accounts, rebranded her website and is dropping something this Friday - hopefully Confessions on a Dancefloor Part 2 or maybe just one of the new songs and/or videos. We'll find out on Friday!

1 0

I'm really clumsy - not in a normal way - and apparently this is also because I have ADHD. Or is it really a microscopic alien called Tad who is just a dick?

1 0

What was I like in the '90s? As I can't show you the whole 10 years, here's a snapshot of my time working in television. I was the director of a show for Yorkshire TV and I even made a presenter showreel when we were filming in Whitby.

0 0

I baked bread again last night (not tasted it yet) and it turned out a lot better than last time. Probably because I forgot wholemeal flour which I now have. I love homemade bread, always tastes so good.

0 0

Throw away your bird boxes, tables and feeders. New research from the @RSPB shows that these are harbouring and spreading disease and killing off birds. If you have a garden, grow plants the birds can eat instead.

0 1

Whenever I see crows I think of Catherine O'Hara in Schitt's Creek and I smile. That's a legacy we should all be striving for.

9 0

I hate putting out videos about the news, current events or politics because I know I will get abuse online. Don't try to reason with trolls, bullies and bots, just block them and move on with your life. It's so much better for your mental health.

4 1

The Strait of Hormuz is open again but that's not the end of our oil crisis. We need to be heavily investing in renewable energy instead of relying on a few countries sending us a finite resource. The sun, sea and wind are everywhere.

4 0

Trump has threatened the annihilation of Iran unless they do a deal with the US and open the Strait of Hormuz. In his own words: "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again." There are 93 million people living in Iran and all of them are human beings.

Hey USA - Why Do You Have Zombie Bunnies?

2 1

Hey USA - What's going on with your Easter eggs? I showed some of mine in a previous video and I received comments from Americans saying they wished they had eggs like ours. Why don't you and what do you have?

0 0

Happy Easter! We have a four day weekend starting today - so I'm showing you our Easter Eggs (and not Pokémon Pokopia) before going to see the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World Exhibition.

0 0

Do you sing when you're walking around with headphones in? I don't drive so I walk a lot and I sing while I walk. Is this common or am I in the minority?

3 0

Why are we going back to the moon on April Fools Day? Of all the days they could've picked and with all the conspiracy theories and the moon landings, this seems ill timed. And can we stop with all the fake articles on April 1st? I'm tired of getting excited for old TV shows coming back 🤣

2 0

I don't think I'd have married Ken if I'd been diagnosed with ADHD years ago. It's the one good thing I can think of from having a late diagnosis. I'd probably have married someone with ADHD as it's so much easier to communicate. But I can't imagine life without Ken. We're perfect together 🙂❤️

2 0

I received my ADHD Assessment Report back today. It's almost 40 pages long and details everything. It shows that I scored 9 out of 9 in both attention deficit, hyperactivity and impulsivity. I'm hoping therapy will begin soon now the report is out.

3 0

This is the beautiful cherry blossom tree near our house. We get to appreciate it for about two weeks every spring before the parakeets swoop in and tear off all the blossom. I'll make a video when they arrive.

2 0

Archie hates it when we have guests over. Our friend Anna stayed over last night and Archie was not happy, walking Ken up at 4am and then not coming back into the house until she'd left. He's now sleeping! lol

0 0

Ken was listening to Christmas songs while making dinner... it's March! For me, I can only listen to Christmas songs on the run and at Christmas, any other time feels weird. Do you listen to Christmas songs all year round?

2 0

Trying to understand ADHD is difficult for someone who has it and even more difficult to explain it to others. For me it's like being a character in a video game that's being controlled by someone else. I just wish mental health was cared about in this country and we could access services faster.

1 0

I've finished writing the prologue and first chapter (or introduction and first episode!) of my new radio play and now I'm looking for sound effects. If you know of anywhere I can download and use free or cheap sounds please let me know in the comments.

1 1

We were refused every from a cocktail bar on Saturday because I didn't have ID. This has never happened to me before. As we don't have OD cards in the UK, do non drivers have to carry their passport with them to get into certain venues?

2 0

We weren't the only ones enjoying our riverside walk over the weekend, the entire midge population seemed to also be out enjoying the sun. We had to move along though as Ken said they were biting him. The joys of nature!

0 0

What is that putrid smell on our nature walk?

1 0

11 years ago today, I met Ken for the first time. Ken has today coined this our Meetiversary lol So much has changed in the past decade but as corny as it sounds, our love for each other has only grown. #loveislove

I hate the 5 star rating system because people just don't use it currently. As humans we use the universal scale of 0-100% to rate things meaning that each star represents 20% - but hardly anyone uses it correctly.

2 0

Don't be fooled by the clear skies and warm weather - it's still March and this is England. We always get this - a brief show of what's to come and then back to rain, hail and cold weather. Fool's Summer. Ah, the joys of living in the UK!

2 0

Why are pubes curly? My entire life I've only just found out and so I'm sharing the answer - whether you wanted to know or not! 🤣 And this is what happens when you're deep in research and end up going down random rabbit holes!

2 0

We're back in Writer's Corner today. I read what I'd written of my radio play to Ken last night and now I'm making changes. Although writing is a solitary profession, it's always good to bounce ideas off someone if you can.

2 1

A Florida man was kidnapped by dolphins, taken to the bottom of the ocean and forced to build an underwater city for three days. According to police and medical reports, they communicated via telepathy and kept him alive with air bubbles... But is this story true?

3 1

Project Hail Mary Review. We saw it yesterday in the first preview showing in Wimbledon. After reading and loving the book I really hoped this film would stay true to the source material and shine on the screen like the Tau Seti star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

0 1

My whole life has been a lie. That's how I feel after being diagnosed with ADHD. I rarely share things this deep and personal but maybe we should. I've been in a very dark place over the past six weeks and I'm still trying to put things together. We don't see the full picture on social media.

2 0

I decided to pull out the old bread maker from the back of the cupboard. It didn't go exactly to plan but the bread tasted nice and at least we got to eat our Kaya instead of it going off again.

36 0

Pokémon Pokopia was released last week which made me kindly ask (nagged) Ken to give me my birthday present 3 months early 😁 I'm now the proud owner of the Nintendo Switch 2 and Pokémon Pokopia is exactly the game I need to help combat depression.

3 0

Hey USA - are you ok? I'm responding to this comment but I'm pretty sure the answer is no. Is anyone ok with what's happening in the world right now? We keep hoping things will get better and then another war or conflict starts.

4 0

If you don't spit it could kill you. Until recently I didn't realise this was information that wasn't known. Please! If you're coughing, that's your body trying to get rid of something harmful. Spit it out! #health #important

1 0

We went to Ramses and the Pharaoh's Gold Exhibition at Battersea Power Station over the weekend and here's what we thought. If you're a fan of Ancient Egypt or history, it's definitely worth checking out.

2 0

I managed to get pre-release tickets for Project Hail Mary next weekend. So excited to see the new Andy Weir book dramatised for the silver screen. I just hope they are able to capture the amazing story.

4 0

Don't look up Vabbing. I've just found out what it is and I really wish I hadn't. I'm all for gaining new knowledge and understanding but there are some things we don't need to know about. Like Vabbing. No one needs to know what is and no one should be doing it.

2 0

I've started writing again. So pleased to have my creativity back. After writing books and plays, I'm currently working on a radio play. If you want to be a writer but don't know where to start, drop your questions in the comments and I'll do my best to respond.

3 0

I'm thinking of changing the rainbow landscape I painted 4 years ago. We still love it and it's very unique to us but I'm artistic and creative and I'm thinking of something totally different as our living room mural 🌈

4 0

Why wants war? It's not me and I'm pretty sure it's not the vast majority of the population of Earth and yet throughout all of human history, we are dragged from one war to the next. So as the majority, how do we stop it happening?

4 0

How much time do you spend thinking? We're all so busy all of the time we rarely have a quiet space to just think. But I think we need to make time because I think it's good for us.

1 0

No one should be ok with what happened in Iran yesterday when an elementary girl's school was bombed. We need to speak out and make sure things like this never happen again. #iran #us #israel #war
