Today, we gathered to release balloons in honour of Nabil Askafe at Central Park. This event was organized by youth, for youth, and it was a beautiful tribute. Thanks to everyone from the local community who came out to offer support and stand in grief with Nabil’s family. #HamOnt

At today’s Planning Committee my motion to address the demolition by neglect of our vacant and heritage buildings, seconded by Councillor Nann, will be tabled. We must protect our vacant and heritage buildings and we need the tools to do it. It matters. #HamOnt

Eastwood Arena has been a North End staple for nearly 70 years. I’ll continue fighting to keep it open and to ensure there will be a future for rink sports in Eastwood Park. #HamOnt

Major sidewalk repairs are happening on James Street North through May of this year. This project has been planned for a couple of years now and I’m glad to see it happening. It’s important for sidewalks to be accessible. #HamOnt

A new red light camera is coming to Bay Street South and Hunter Street West this year. Here’s a short video on the intersection and why it matters. Pedestrian and bike safety is important, especially so close to an elementary school. #HamOnt
