Around 160 university students commit suicide every year, more than three every week. But despite the closeness of the University/student relationship, there is no established duty of care on Universities to protect the health, safety and welfare of their students.

I recently spoke in the House about the drastic impact that hoarding can have on someone's life. Hoarding is often confused with OCD, rather than the chronic, progressive condition that it is.

Last week I spoke in the House about the importance of utilising trade union expertise in the process of nationalising British Steel. As a proud trade unionist myself, we cannot undersell the vital work they've done alongside this Government to protect thousands of British Steel.

On Tuesday I spoke in Parliament about how rehabilitation and preventing repeat offending must be central to our criminal justice system. Rehabilitation and education is how we stop our prisons becoming revolving doors for reoffenders.

Last Sunday I attended the Youth Voice Speaking Competition hosted by Magical Mind Coaching. It was inspiring to see young people speaking publicly about issues that affect both themselves, and adults. I did a short interview with Nurture Media alongside Jin Atwal, the founder, after the event.

I spoke yesterday regarding youth recidivism and how early intervention, especially mental health help, can assist young people in my constituency of Wolverhampton West. Early involvement is essential to ensure that a single prison sentence, does not turn into a lifetime of crime.

Late payments are a scourge on trade. They harm our businesses and our high streets, costing our economy £11 billion, and shutting down 38 businesses every single day. This Labour Government is getting on with the job of ensuring local businesses are paid on time.

The Labour Government's Waste Crime Action Plan sends a clear message. If you dump illegally, you will face the full consequences.
