1/ I see increases in people walking & on 🚲 in the last few months (before fuel protests). Each car here is carrying 1 person. As many NOT in cars as in cars at this junction regularly. Perhaps it's time Cork City Council left the Nazi site & started taking Active Travel seriously & prioritise it.

Here's one of these yokes. Second one I've seen tonight. Other was over Ballintemple. Absolute racket out of it even at ~150 feet. As if Musk hadn't already dumped enough trash higher up now we have this trash lower down & noisier.

I could tell from 200 metres back this lad in the red van was on their phone. They were unable to stay within their lane. He slows off then & when passed he's got both hands holding his phone, thumbs tapping away & eyes glued to the phone while driving with his forearms.

"Me go by now me do". "Here's some orange lights me will flash."

3/ Then a few minutes later I'm signalling I'm turning left but the motorist is too impatient to wait & does a close pass with oncoming traffic. Then they're braking hard while squeezing in.

2/ First of two close passes on the way back from school. Motorist overtakes approaching a corner & then sees the bus & cuts in. As soon as they've passed by their 2 second momory forgets I'm there.

1/ Motorists were gone feral this morning on our school run. The "quiet" route was all jammed up. We had a lovely interaction with a dog & its owner. Then we took an alternative route away from the rat run.

Would highly recommend that motorists in Cork city swap racing to the next traffic light to racing a ship. Tiz great. I'm at about 12 knots here.

Couldn't watch the rugby live so just catching up but that running try by the Welsh Prop against Ireland was a beautiful piece of sporting joy & a sight to behold. ❤️

Out of the approx. ~14 cars, vans, trucks, SUV's in this clip I'll bet you can pick out which asshole was holding their phone like a plate in their hand while talking into it. It's always the asshole you'd think it will be.

2/ Motorists rat-running through residential streets that should be one-way. This lad drives their car into somebody's yard & then back out only to race up the hill behind us. 7YO provides the commentary. There's no daylighting at junctions so motorists park on the junctions blocking line of sight.

1/ While government victim blame people on bicycles, here's the car sewer we have to deal with almost every morning that should be a quiet route. There's a school about 50 metres up around the corner. Cars don't fit by each other so they drive on footpath which is already narrowed.

I was the 🤡 this evening. When I came to the junction & around the hoarding I thought this guy was walking away from me. There's no dipped curb provided further up at the entrance so I get on here. When you get on with cargobike it's not easy to get off. I should have waited & I apologised to him.

The world needs more people like this. Every time you might be feeling a bit hopeless it's people like this who lift you & others up.

"Everybody on a bike is gickin' themselves". ☺️ Fair play to this Garda. If you can't put a basic light on your bike to stay within the law then get off the bike & walk it. There's nothing "sneaky sneaky" about what he's doing - Garda motorbike in plain view & Garda jacket on.

1/ Interesting development on a dangerous driver reported last July. Garda traced the car to be owned by Volkswagen & leased to Eurocar. Sent multiple requests to Eurocar to release the details of the driver. Eurocar played dumb & never sent on the details. How can this loophole be allowed to exist?

Looks like the ship has been renamed & is heading off under its own power.

The Blackrock greenway & ramps are like glass. Perfect for ice skates or a bit of grit if only Cork City Council considered walking & cycling as modes of transport. 😵‍💫

Black car motorist in this clip tapping away oblivious to any yellow box & anything going on around them. Saw 5 different motorists tapping on their phones while on journeys today.

Amazing 😏 how for years taking one lane on Albert Quay "COULD NOT BE DONE" to protect people on bicycles. But then a builder comes along & takes one of the traffic lanes & suddenly it could be done all along.

N40 near Mahon yesterday. 🚘 & 🚛 as far as the eye can see on both sides in both directions. I could see two motorists on their phones too. How anybody can call the Dunkettle bullshit a success is utterly nuts. Many posts on reddit with lads chirping "but it saves me 2 minutes from before".

Another day where thousands of people create & sit in traffic jams because the Government has failed to invest enough in alternative public transport & active travel options & failed to prevent Employers from forcing people to return to offices. Majority of these in jams can probably work remote.

The disregard for pedestrian & people on bikes priority as VRU's by Developer's is crap. As if this junction wasn't dangerous enough they've now just turned off the lights on the left side so you've to hope for best crossing on the pedestrian green. No protection either from falling debris.

Apparently my winter light setup is "too bright" & "blah blah nonsense nonsense" they "couldn't see me" also because I didn't have hi-viz. 🤷‍♂️😵‍💫 I could 👀 them fiddling with their phone though.

2/ Then they've not got enough of the 1-up so the next thing to do is cross the solid white line going into the tunnel where it also is painted in huge lettering to "STAY IN LANE". Then their brother-in-shit-motoring decides to also cross the solid white line while in the tunnel. 🫠😏

1/ A tale of the Jack Lynch Tunnel. First they overtake breaking the speed limit in a 60 kph zone & drive over the hatching lines & jam it into the left lane because they're then 1-up. 😵‍💫😏

Good to 👀Gardai taking a motorist to task for driving in this much-abused 🚌 corridor. Both Peugeots & the Fiesta undertook traffic including the Garda 🚔. They couldn't see the Garda 🚔 as they were behind the bus in the bus lane. It's a stupid layout but obey the rules & stay right until the junction

Instead of €9 million on phone pouches for school kids perhaps put €9 million towards phone pouches for motorists. Traffic backed up from Ashford exit of N11 this morning all the way to city centre & at least half the motorists are playing on their phones.

"What red light?" Sure erra too busy looking at their phone. Not a day passes when I don't see a motorist running a red light.

The white van has just overtaken & is stopped because of oncoming truck. I'm leaving space if they need to reverse. So the SUV thinks it's a good idea to then overtake to fill that space. Both know before overtaking where they're going next. Both delaying me as I'll fit through on bike before them.
