The incompetence of the Iran War rollout is just stunning. Rubio says "Israel dragged us into this war! We had no choice!" Trump says "I dragged Israel into this war! Regime change! Iranian people, rise up!" Just bonkers.

Noah Wyle stopped by my office this week and we talked about how for profit medicine is putting money ahead of patients and workers - and how we need to do more to support health care workers when they see corners being cut and want to speak up.

I'm helping to lead a group of Senate Democrats who are planning to force a vote - every single week the Senate is in session - to end the war in Iran. We have that right under the Senate rules, and we are going to keep putting Republicans on record supporting this insane war.

Americans are dead. Prices are skyrocketing. The Middle East is on fire. Civil war is brewing in Iran. And for what? A war that will leave the same hardliners in charge? A war that can't actually destroy their nuclear program? This is incompetence. Plain and simple.

Trump and his national security team have learned nothing from our prior mistakes in the Middle East. Bombing a school (a incompetent mistake) and a desalinization plant (probably not a mistake) is just going to empower Iran's hardline leadership and dangerous terrorist groups.

In an age of creeping relativism, a universal moral law still exists. Threatening to end an entire civilization of 90 million people in order to bend a nation’s conduct to your will is grossly morally wrong. It is evil. And we should say this loudly.

Trump is suspending sanctions on Iran and Russia, which will put over $15 billion in their treasuries to help them fund the wars against us. It’s stunning. We have never ever seen this level of war incompetence in American history.

A gallon of gas now costs $5 in Connecticut. Diesel is $6. This is ruining people who live paycheck to paycheck, small businesses, farmers and the trucking industry. And there is only person who has caused prices to be this high: DONALD TRUMP.

Orban copied Trump. Trump copied Orban. And in the end, the people of Hungary chose democracy and the rule of law. As will happen here too. But only if we do our work, like they did.

Every week, we force a vote on the Senate floor to end the war in Iran. While there are signs Republicans are starting to break, so far we can't get to 50. But we will keep trying. Because the Iran war cost crisis is getting devastating for American families.
