After President Trump’s SOTU, I stood with @mcbride.house.gov and DE AG Kathy Jennings and said what many Delawareans are already feeling: Health care premiums are rising. And tens of thousands here at home are bracing for the fallout of the largest health care cuts in American history.

Reports put the amount of money the Treasury Department has given Iran through sanctions relief at billions of dollars – money they’re using to threaten our troops. When I asked Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent about it today, he tried to dismiss it. But it’s real, and it’s an outrage.

As I told Treasury Secretary Wright yesterday, Trump’s war with Iran has already driven up costs for Americans. It’s hitting oil and gas, fertilizer, helium, farming, manufacturing, and food prices. We need to wrap this war up, but you’ll still be paying for it for a long time to come.

President Trump had the chance to bring the country together tonight. Instead, we got a campaign rally where he lied, ducked responsibility, and had zero answers for Americans worried about the challenges they’re facing.

What does opportunity mean? For most Americans it starts with safe housing, a solid education, basic health care, and the chance to give their kids a better future.

The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution is clear: Trump cannot be elected president more than twice. Yesterday, I asked Trump judicial nominees what the 22nd Amendment entails. Their response? Crickets.
