Law abiding citizens don't treat city streets like race tracks. And they don't run red lights at high speed. Speed cameras and red light cameras are not triggered by law abiding citizens.

Media glorification of dangerous driving doesn't help. As people get older, it takes longer for their bodies to metabolize alcohol.

This can be addressed by red light cameras automatically launching small drones to follow the worst red light runners & alert nearby cops so vehicles can be immediately stopped & impounded. Use of fake plates or covers that make cameras unable to see them should be grounds for a long driving ban.

Inventory taxes are often a big part of this. When a state imposes inventory taxes, merchandise is warehoused in buildings in adjacent states that don't have inventory taxes. Result is longer commutes for warehouse workers, more freight trucks on highways, more diesel consumption, more death.
