🧊 Fieldwork at Freya Glacier, Greenland Francisco Navarro & Unai Letamendia from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid were using ground penetrating radar to study polythermal glaciers & their responce to climate change. It helps reveal: • ice thickness • bedrock position • cold vs temperate ice layers

🎉 1 year of WP4 Climate Impact & Adaptation Over the past year we have: • Conducted a scoping visit to Ilulissat, Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland) • Participated in conferences • Engaged with stakeholders and rights holders Qujanaq to everyone who shared their knowledge with us. #ClimateAdaptation

Despite unusually warm spring conditions in Svalbard, the ISP CNR team managed to complete most planned LIQUIDICE measurements near Ny-Ålesund. At Austre Brøggerbreen, researchers found the snowpack already fully wet and nearly isothermal in April. It is an important signal of rapid Arctic change.
