I’m honored to have @petebuttigieg.bsky.social's endorsement in our campaign to solve problems for southern Minnesota. I’m ready to fight for working families to create a government that works for everyone, not just the wealthy.

Just finished my 20th year in the classroom and it's a bittersweet moment. Looking forward to all the great things our students will go on to accomplish, and I'm also excited to spend the summer holding town halls and sharing how we're going to make life cheaper and easier for our working families.

Minnesota had more farm bankruptcies than any other state during the first three months of this year. Things were already tough for our farmers, and now reckless tariffs and the Iran War are making it worse. It's time we send someone to Congress who will fight for our farmers, not against them.

You deserve a congressman who will listen to you about the problems you're facing. That's why we'll be holding 21 public town hall meetings this summer, and why I'm committing to holding another 21 per term. It's common sense: you can't represent your constituents if you don't listen to them.

The Iran War is driving up prices for Minnesotans, but Brad Finstad has repeatedly voted to continue it. Now, he and his party leaders are canceling votes to end the war because they know it'll pass. That's what happens when Big Defense and Big Oil buy off politicians.

Speaker Johnson really wondered how we expect the millionaires in Congress to live off only $174k without a little stock trading. That's why I pledge to dedicate time in Congress to teaching the 98% of Congress that isn’t from the working class about how to make ends meet, no insider trading needed.

BIG NEWS: Today, we submitted over 5,000 signatures and officially filed to get on the ballot! Most politicians just pay a filing fee to get on the ballot. But to me, and to a lot of folks across southern Minnesota, $300 is a lot of money. So we chose the grassroots path instead:

To fix our broken politics, we need to stop thinking it’s Red Team versus Blue Team, and start realizing it’s the elites versus the rest of us. Thanks to everyone who came to our Mankato Meet & Greet earlier this week so we could chat about how we can solve problems for southern Minnesota together.

Habitat for Humanity was a lifeline for my family, building my mom a house that she still lives in to this day. I was happy to help pay it back yesterday and work on a new home for a family in Mankato. Thank you to the volunteers that turned out to help our neighbors!

Inflation just skyrocketed again because of the Iran War and its impact on energy prices. If I were in Congress, I would vote to end this war so we can bring the cost of gas, diesel, fertilizer, and everyday goods down here in southern Minnesota.

Brad Finstad campaigned on the promise to make things cheaper, but then he went to Washington and voted for tariffs, wars, and healthcare cuts that are making life more expensive here in southern Minnesota.

It was great being on KAAL last week to share how I’ll work with Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike to bring down costs here in southern Minnesota. I’m not interested in playing party politics, I’m focused on solving real problems.

Brad Finstad took over $22,000 from a large Chinese-owned pesticide company, and then he voted against a bipartisan amendment to remove a provision from the farm bill that would make it harder to sue pesticide companies when they break state law.

Happy National Teacher Appreciation Day! Thank you to all the teachers and educators across southern Minnesota for your incredible dedication to our communities.

Inflation just rose to 3.5% because of rising gas prices due to the Iran War. Our congressman Brad Finstad was elected in 2024 on a promise to lower costs, but instead he has voted for this war and other expensive policies like tariffs.

Our congressman won't hold public meetings in southern Minnesota, but he always seems to have time for corporate donors in Washington. That’s not how public service should work. We deserve a representative who isn’t afraid to meet with the people they're elected to represent.

There was a time in our nation’s history when we built big things, like I-90 right here in southern Minnesota. Back then, we taxed the wealthy and invested in infrastructure and small towns. We can do it again when we make billionaires and big corporations pay their fair share.

My father-in-law encouraged me to check out Senator Ben Sasse's interview on 60 Minutes this weekend. Very moving. I thought he spoke powerfully here about how public service and elected office should be a part of a full life, not the pinnacle of it.

These tariffs have been a bad deal for southern Minnesota. I spoke with @kare11.bsky.social yesterday to amplify what I’ve been hearing from farmers across our district about how the tariffs backed by Brad Finstad have eviscerated their export markets.

One year ago today, we launched our campaign to bring a voice for working people back to Congress. From day one, we chose to do things a different way: actually meeting with voters, not taking money from corporations, and collecting signatures to get on the ballot.

I've paid $60+ twice today just to do the essential work of meeting with voters across southern Minnesota. We don't have corporations to bankroll this effort, so I'm extra grateful today for everyone who has pitched in to support this campaign.

BIG NEWS! Our petition to get on the ballot has gathered over 4,000 signatures, beating our original goal by over 1,000.

Campaigning would be easier if I didn't have to worry about bills. But just like everyone else around here, I do. And that perspective is sorely needed in Congress.

Corporate consolidation in agriculture is squeezing out our family farmers. If we want to protect the southern Minnesota way of life, we need to enforce our laws that ensure competitive markets, so farmers can buy inputs at a fair price and sell products on a level playing field.

Happy National Agriculture Day! Our farmers work so hard for us, and deserve someone in Congress who will work hard for them.

I had a great time speaking with folks in Blue Earth and Nicollet counties last week about making life affordable and rebuilding the American Dream. We’ve got work to do!

Gas prices are skyrocketing because our elected officials have the wrong priorities. We need folks in Washington that will actually put in effort to make life cheaper for working class families.

Happy Pi Day! Just like the digits of pi, it looks like the snow tonight might never end. Stay safe everyone!

Goodhue, Owatonna, Waseca, and Claremont all in one day last weekend! So great to chat with so many folks about our goals to make life cheaper and easier in southern Minnesota.

The economy didn't just lose 92,000 jobs last month, but it did even worse than expected. We need a government that actually creates new jobs and opportunities, rather than tariffs and wars that raise costs for all of us.
