Inflation just skyrocketed again because of the Iran War and its impact on energy prices. If I were in Congress, I would vote to end this war so we can bring the cost of gas, diesel, fertilizer, and everyday goods down here in southern Minnesota.

Minnesota had more farm bankruptcies than any other state during the first three months of this year. Things were already tough for our farmers, and now reckless tariffs and the Iran War are making it worse. It's time we send someone to Congress who will fight for our farmers, not against them.

My father-in-law encouraged me to check out Senator Ben Sasse's interview on 60 Minutes this weekend. Very moving. I thought he spoke powerfully here about how public service and elected office should be a part of a full life, not the pinnacle of it.

Ban members of Congress from buying and selling stocks. Impose term limits so we don’t have lifetime politicians sucking us dry. It was great to share how we can take on corruption in Washington with folks in Austin last weekend.

Campaigning would be easier if I didn't have to worry about bills. But just like everyone else around here, I do. And that perspective is sorely needed in Congress.

Gas prices are skyrocketing because our elected officials have the wrong priorities. We need folks in Washington that will actually put in effort to make life cheaper for working class families.
